SCAMMERS. They falsified federal documents threatening seizure of property unless I registered my EIN number nation wide (fake). they sold me a store for $24,000 that does not exist, and when I questioned them they gave me pages of fake sales. The falsely claimed authorship disputes in Europe and sold me $20,000 in European copyrights that don’t exist. They charged me to print my own books for trial runs with companies that do not do trial runs, and they had me hire a Literary agent for $18,000 up front to negotiate contracts. They put me in touch with an imposter from Penguin Random House who charged me for German Translations. They claimed that Books A Million had sold out of my books and were preparing my royalties, they wanted to expand their market with the help of Penguin Random House and offered me a contract for 55% of the royalties on 47,000 books providing I paid them a $51,000 deposit. Penguin Random House identified them as imposters. You will notice that many of their pages are now gone. They took me for my entire savings and I am a senior citizen. I will be tangled in this mess for years before I see a dime of my savings returned. Just for kicks…go to dianeupton.com and check out my store.

I have been working with this company for almost a year, I began with Sophia and paid the promo deal for $600.00 with included a cover, editing , formatting and publishing. I have been passed around to numerous people and I paid another $1200.00 for a senior more experienced editing team. During this time the representatives had been communicating with me on a regular basis. However, I was sent a questionnaire for formatting that seemed strange after months of telling them what I wanted. Since I sent bact the answered questionnaire, I have not been able to connect with anyone... In fact, the chat person on the website did not respond nor dit Alan or James via email or text. I feel that I have been scammed and I am so disappointed. I am going to present this to an lawyer to see what I can do. It has been going on since March of 2025

Elijah was very helpful and respectful throughout the whole process. The constant contact and willingness to address my many concerns was greatly appreciated. I couldn’t be any more pleased with the product and the customer service I received

Experience with Mr Elijah Smith

Mr. Elijah Smith one of the best person that helped me write my book and his entire team. I’m grateful without them. I couldn’t have been happier and I appreciate the business. I wish I could do more business with them in near future.

This was my first time going through the publishing process—to say I was nervous is an understatement. Elijah was so helpful and reassuring with each step. He answered my multitude of questions with patience and kindness. I would definitely recommend Express Book Writing and Elijah to anyone considering publishing their book.
