Thank you for sharing this, and for being such a longtime part of the Entrada community. We’re sorry the reviews felt harsh, especially when the heart bond trope is central to your story. Our reviewers share their own honest opinions, and we never direct what they say, so reactions can vary with each reader’s familiarity with a genre. Most of the reviewers we work with give thoughtful, constructive feedback, and we hope you were still able to find some helpful takeaways in this round.

Thank you! You're right that "I didn't like it" only gets an author so far. We ask our beta readers to explain what's not working and why, so writers have something concrete to revise from. We're glad the feedback, even from the readers who weren't fans of the manuscript, gave you a clear direction for your revisions

Ha — thank you for the honest (and hilarious) rundown! Glad two of your three readers pulled their weight and helped sharpen the story. As for reader #3 mixing up Mike the author with Frank the protagonist... we looked into it, and that reader is no longer part of our beta team. We appreciate you flagging it, and we'll make sure your next round is matched to genre readers who know their protagonist from their payment.

Thank you! So glad the beta reader feedback was valuable — that kind of honest input is exactly what helps authors strengthen a manuscript before it goes further in the process. Glad it hit the mark for you!

Thank you, Ivy! We're delighted to hear our professional beta reading service provided such great value — getting feedback from three experienced beta readers is designed to give authors exactly that kind of confidence in their manuscript before publication. We're ready for your next project when you are!

Thank you for this — it means a lot to hear Entrada has become your go-to for beta reading and proofreading! We loved working on the cover art for Payne's Limit too, and it's great to know the finished product captured what you envisioned for the book.
