From $60K to $300K+: How I Transformed My Career in Under a Year
I joined EngineerGame at a point where I felt stuck and frustrated in my career. I had been applying for roles for over two years without being able to close a single offer, despite having solid experience and the legal status to work in the United States. It felt like I was doing everything right—but not getting results. At that time, I was earning around $60,000 annually in Colombia and knew I had the technical skills, but I lacked a clear strategy to position myself for global opportunities. Within less than a year, I made two major career moves. The first transition resulted in a 35% salary increase, which was already a big step forward. But the real transformation came about six months later, when I landed a role at one of the largest consulting companies in the world, with a total compensation exceeding $300K. What made the difference was not just technical preparation, but the frameworks, mindset, and practical “insider” strategies I learned through the program—how to position my experience, communicate impact, navigate interviews, and target the right opportunities effectively. Another aspect I found incredibly valuable is the active WhatsApp community. It’s a group of highly motivated people who continuously share insights, support each other, and keep you accountable throughout the process. That said, this is not a shortcut. EngineerGame requires consistency, discipline, and real commitment. You have to put in the work, iterate, and stay focused. But if you do, the results can be truly life-changing. For me, it completely reshaped my career trajectory.
