Embark has locked my card and held up my credit balance (around $700) for over a month now. The reason is I took out the Home Equity Loan and the closing company issued a check to pay off the credit card’s outstanding balance (as a condition for the loan) and Embark insists on showing them the cleared check and where it came from (although they had deposited the check and it had cleared a month ago). I had to call the closing company to get the cleared check, and also fowarded them the msg from the closing company stating it’s the legitimate pay off the card’s balance as part of the Home Equity loan. They have received what they requested for over a week now, and my card’s still locked, with the credit balance (overpayment) of $700 which I could not get to! Be careful when you take out lower-rate loan yo pay off Embark card’s balance: they would hassle and hold up your card, and take their time! Not sure what I should do to get my $700 credit balance back; tired of keep calling their service number and got the run aound answer on this issue!

So much wrong going on here. I’ve been screwing with this “company” for a while and now the card is locked I still owe money can’t login on their site to pay and the phone number they give you now can’t make a payment.

PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS CARD... if you pay off the balance they ask for bank statement and lock your card unless you send a statement. even if it clears. you have been warned.

Out of nowhere I get an email saying they canceled my card due to inactivity with no warning while I'm on vacation and using my card. I'll now be filing complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the BBB as we have rights and this is unjust. I can no longer log into my account or get help via customer service so here comes my complaint and bad reviews on every platform I can find! You pissed this customer off and you will regret it! UPDATE STAY AWAY FROM THESE A$$'S JOKES Update account hacked Yet had offer of card returned, told them refer to above statement!

Use this card all around the world, pay online and have never had an issue with the service or the company. Had to reinstall the app on my phone once, but no issues once I reinstalled the app. Love the app.

The app is easy to use and convenient to do banking online.

Paid my balance off in full. They then put a block on my card until I sent them a copy of my bank statement showing who and how this payment was made. I thought this was very strange business practices. I sent them a copy. Looked at my account and there is interest charged after I paid off my account. Very disappointed 😞
