My wife and I saw an offer on the Dollar website for a brand new Dodge Durango in Dubai for a 12 month lease . When the car was delivered it was clearly a used dodge and handed to us dirty. We immediately complained to the Dollar sales rep who over a month of offering excuses admitted that he could not give us a brand new Dodge as per the offer. Called the Dollar Care centre and they confirmed that the new Dodge offer had ended months ago(was still on their website for months after). We confirmed a date of a return after finding another company that could give us a brand new Dodge. Dollar promised to refund the deposit within 14 days. As you can imagine they have yet to return the deposit. Avoid dollar. That's all I can advise. Might be ok for short term but do not go with them for long term.

I booked online without paying to rent the car during the weekend. Everything went very smooth, the chosen car was available, I paid and rent and the deposit and I have the same good experience while returning the car. I waited till they release the deposit held from the credit card and this has been done within less than 2 weeks. I would try them again for longer periods.

Very worst experience with this company. I used their car for 6 months and after returning the car and after almost 30 working days, they did not refund my deposit, which I paid before renting, and even after numerous emails and phone calls they are not returning the refund back. They just say we will let you know. Dlwill never use dollar rent a car or recommend to others... Be very very careful while dealing with them.... I stead go for small time car rentals, they r very prompt and no issues with them. I am now planning to file a police complaint against dollar rent a car if they don't refund my deposit back shortly.

Staff are friendly, but unfortunately most of them have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to accidents. I got extended insurance and asked multiple times if I would still have to pay the fee for the police report. 2 different Dollar UAE staff told me no, there would be no cost for me in event of accident - not for the police and not for Dollar. As luck would have it, I did end up getting a small dent in the car, and the police did charge me 500 aed for the police report. Now suddenly I must pay this fee myself, this is not covered. I'm sure that's standard practice for rental cars, but I feel very misled by the staff.

Had a very bad experience with DC,Ive rented the car for 4 days, they charged me a damage report for a small dent that was already there before i rent it.they forced me to pay 500 AED claiming that’s the minimum for a dent that cant even be noticed!!! Having Very bad customer service DONT rent any car from them.

They have hidden charges they will charge your credit card with extra money worst customer service ever they don't do any work and does properly respond to your queries they keep on copying and pasting their terms. It is a scam terms and condition. Worst ever customer service.

We had ordered a children seat, but when we arrived there were two children seats in the car, and we were asked to pick one. When we picked one, we had to install the children seat ourselves as the staff member had never done it before. So now we have already wasted 15 mins of our time in addition to all the paperwork we had to do when we arrived, as apparently all the smart uploading online in order to save time, of course did not work. After installing the children seat we found out it was loose and not safe at all for a kid to sit in, so we had to go all the way up to the office again (as the staff member left without ensuring everything was ok) through a backdoor staff member way as the entrance to the Ramada Residencies required a access card which we did not have. So now I am at the office to get the other children seat to see if that one works. So again, we have to uninstall the previous children seat and install the new one (again, the staff member leaves without checking it being all ok or even installing the children seat herself), after installing the new children seat we find out there is a lock mechanism which is lacking in the new one, so it is completely useless AGAIN. Now we have already wasted 45 mins of our time. So I have to go back to the office once again, and complain. Now the staff member ask us to go to Marina Mall parking lot to receive a third children seat, assuring us that her colleague is on site waiting for us with the seat. So we have to drive all the way there, find our way down to the lower level, drive around in circles, desperately searching for the Dollar parking slot, and finally when we arrive NO ONE is there waiting on us. Nearly 90 mins have now been wasted on this nonsense, and I have to find the Dollar office in Marina Mall where the staff member there had no idea of what was going on and was extremely lazy and nonchalant about the whole situation, before slowly walking with me to the parking spot where his colleague met him to install the third children seat. This whole situation took us 2 HOURS to deal with!! Unbelievably unprofessional, and completely ruined our afternoon plans as it delayed everything. As a result we got nothing done that afternoon as it was already evening by then! As a compensation we got 1 hour (!) more to deliver it - That is All, nothing else! Really bad experience and our worst ever regarding car renting! Would not recommend this service to ANYONE!

Overall this was my first and last time booking with this company. Never in my life have I had a car I was afraid of making it to and from my destinations. ABS issues, AC not working. A total hazard to the road. On top of it all FEES!!! Additional fees that are NOT disclosed. Although they have branches in Abu Dhabi, they were not able to fix the AC unless I drive the car in the summer season without AC to Dubai. I ended off-hiring the car and to my surprise I was charged an additional AED 200 for dropping the car in Abu Dhabi instead of Dubai although the customer service agent Oliver assured me that I will not be charged any additional fee. After 3 months of following up, calling and visiting their branches, I had received no response yet. They stop responding when you claim your money.
