Hi Ray, We’re truly sorry to hear about the flooding in your home. That’s a difficult situation, and we understand how stressful it must be. We want to clarify a few details. When you purchased in June, you asked us to hold training until August 3rd, and we honored that request. Your first session took place on August 3rd, and your trainer received positive feedback afterward. After the flooding, you asked us to pause training through October, and we did. When you contacted us in October, the purchase was well past our 30-day refund window. Before discussing a refund, we offered to transfer your training to your pup’s new home or save it for a future dog. When neither option worked for you, our management team reviewed your case and approved a $650 partial refund as an exception to our policy, given your circumstances. We’re sorry the outcome wasn’t what you hoped for. We wish you and your family the best as you recover from the flood. — The Dog Academy Team

Hi Nancy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed, and we’d like to clarify how your program was set up. Your package included 11 sessions: a Platinum Orientation, an extended Forever Framework session, one virtual session, and eight in-person sessions, along with lifetime virtual training support. Our team reviewed this breakdown with you before and on the day of purchase, including that the “training for life” portion of the program is provided virtually. After your orientation, our team recommended specialized behavior sessions before moving to in-person training. We provided three of these sessions (May 18, May 27, and June 6) to make sure you and your pup were set up for success. Once our behavior specialist cleared you for in-person training, you completed 11 in-person sessions with your trainer: June 8, June 19, July 6, 13, 20, and 27, and August 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. In total, you received 14 sessions, which is more than your original package included. Your training has not ended. Your lifetime virtual support is still available whenever you would like to use it, and our trainers would be happy to keep working with you. Please reach out to our support team anytime. We are always happy to help. Warm regards, The Dog Academy Team

Hi Albert, Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled to hear the online course is complementing your in-person training so well. Combining both is a great way to reinforce good habits, and with consistency we’re confident you and your Morkipoo will get that barking under control. Wishing you both continued success, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything along the way! Warm Regards, The Dog Academy Team

Hi Chaya, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry your experience with us wasn’t what you hoped for. We know how much you care about your pup’s training, and we wish things had gone differently. When you let us know about a missed session, we wanted to make it right. Because that scheduling had happened outside our group chat, we didn’t have a record of it, so we reached out to learn more and look into it with your trainer. We weren’t able to hear back about it before you then asked for a refund. We also hoped to keep supporting you and your pup, so we offered money back while we reset expectations. When you decided to cancel instead, we respected that and processed your refund. Our refund policy deducts completed sessions so our trainers are paid for their time. Your first session was a framework session, which is priced separately from a standard session. The rest of your balance was refunded to you. Our leadership team took a second look at your concerns, and while the decision hasn’t changed, please know your feedback was heard and taken seriously.
