DinolingoReviews of dinolingo.com

It is motivating and fun for young children. Perhaps there could be a few more games to make the activities even more varied.

I think this is a great language learning tool. Winning new dinosaurs keeps my kids interested and motivated. However, some of the images in the videos are odd. I think the videos need to be updated and improved. I also think the sound effects for a right or wrong answer should be an option to turn on or off. My kids do not like hearing the “honk” sound after a wrong answer, but there is no option to turn it off.

Pros: I love the immersion method, the ability to navigate back and forth through different word groups and the ability to download on multiple tablets and use the little kid mode for my toddler while still having access to big kid mode for my older child. Cons: Ok so the movies zooming around and changing channels are kind of distracting, and the ongoing music is annoying. I do want my kids to get repetition of Spanish language but the music and dizzying video is over the top. My kids won't use it more than 10 minutes at a time. The other negative aspect is just the price. I can see a lot went into developing the system, but I'd love to see a significantly lower price for year membership.

Mon enfant adore l application et demande chaque jour a l utiliser

Dinolingo language learning site is an excellent tool to teach languages. My kids (5 and 8 years old) are really enjoying, especially the games. The videos are short, direct and with fine pronunciation. The offer of less common languages is really good (in our case, Greek), as it was difficult for us to find physical classroom learning. As new features, this platform could have: i) Different games, besides what is being offered (memory cards, sound/image check); ii) Extra games where it would be possible for different users (at least of the same subscription) to play between them, as a contest and as a partnership.

Good lessons, my son 7 likes to get the trophies or dinosaurs by doing the tests. He's in 2nd grade and is very intelligent. His first language is English. We thought if we give this a try his English might improve. So far it's like playing a baby game. It does get harder but so far I think he's ok with it. My older daughter is learning Spanish and my oldest is learning Japanese. They seem to like it more.

Dinolingo makes it fun for my kids to learn a language. It’s good that recently more concepts and vocabularies were added. Also, it is helpful that there are videos with the language itself being used and the kids say after the words introduced. One thing to improve on however is the quality of the videos. Some graphics and arts are outdated my kids sometimes find the images scary or weird. Overall, it is a good app that is reasonably priced.

It's a good introduction. Unfortunately the children's stories (fairy tales) seem to have gone.
