My credit reports are frozen More than 1 year and Permanent Opt-Out by Mail. I haven't applied for anything and anywhere. I don't know which company you used to steal my information, and you're constantly sending me offers. I'm so tired of companies like you and also tired of your unreasonable harassment. I hope you'll tell me where you stole my information from and I will take action accordingly.

Scam artists. Legal scam artists. It’s actually disgusting 🤮 they will talk a big game then let your amounts owed pull up and up and up against what they said would happen and that those fees etc would not have to be paid, but then when their 25% commission is fat enough they do something to cut a deal on a card with a balance that’s much much higher than when you stopped paying your monthly minimums. Literally bait and switch, I do not know how this is legal or how hard it would be to go through a process to file legal suite against this fake operating as a debt consolidation company and help others to never fall victim to this bull.

I don't advise anyone to use this. We have been told so many stories since we signed up and 6 months later nothing is being negotiated. I'm told today our credit will take a hit for another 51 months.

They don't do anything, they're just there to give your information to places that will hassle you. I cannot believe that "businesses" like this exist. Do not fill out their forms. Update: I've been suddenly receiving spam texts, starting the day after my Debthunch experience. A coincidence?

This company is not one of integrity in my opinion. If I could give this organization a ZERO I would. Not sure if it's a scam or not, I will say it appears to lack solid ethical standards. I just had a conversation with a person by the name of Brandon/Branden who is a poor representation of Debthunch, calling him unprofessional, is a compliment. This Brandon/Branden person claimed it was on a recorded line so I suggest his manager review the call. I called earlier and spoke with a woman who I felt very uncomfortable with because she claimed my phone # was attached to someone I don't know. I told her I would call back after doing some research to confirm this wasn't scammed. Regrettably, I made contact with Brandon/Branden, who then without being given any information stated, "You called earlier and hung up on a representative." Then he disconnected the call with, "GOOOODBYE" he kind of sung it with a feminine voice. Immature, accusatory and unprofessional are just but a few words that accurately describe this nocuous brat. Please pay attention to the one star reviews because post engagement, I now believe them. Note to the organization, people have the right to tell a representative they'll call back and they don't feel comfortable until further investigation. Stay 100 feet away of any company that needs you to profit and treats you as if you owe them, that's evidence the company in itself lacks integrity, morals, and good business sense. I'm really glad that I encountered this fellow, now I can aide in enlightening others and provide a measure of protection for them. Don't get scammed, you deserve better than that.

I am actually adding to a review I wrote a couple of months ago. I was really hoping I'd be writing to amend the poor review I have already written, but in fact this experience has gotten worse. I highly recommend trying a different solution and avoiding this as a resolve. Using this company has been a nightmare to try and negotiate my debts. Transparency is not their motto either. Everyone tells you something different if they even call you back at all. The initial sales pitch was misleading at best. I signed up in September of 2023 and it is now the end of March. I was just told by someone at the Palisades firm, (a law firm that takes over after the initial induction), and the girl just told me they've only been in contact with one of my creditors. What? My credit score has plummeted from 700 to 400, and obviously no solution or resolve in sight. Absolutely ridiculous.

I answered a mailer online for a pre-approved loan at 6.99%. I was not able to complete it online and they had to call me, which is automatically one star gone. If I wanted to talk on the phone I would call. Then, when they called, the gentleman told me there were lots of options and he couldn't tell me what I was approved for until he looked into my credit and income and everything. The mailer was completely misleading and I was apparently not pre-approved for a 6.99% interest loan. I would stay away. UPDATE - Thank you for your response. It appears Debthunch meant to say "prequalified" not "pre-approved". Hopefully, in your future correspondence, you will correct this.

Your situation appears to be a result of a misunderstanding with regards to what it means to be 'pre-approved' versus 'approved'. We have never run into this type of situation in the last 19 years where there is a grievance with providing the necessary application information as clearly outlined in the 'pre-approved' offer's terms and conditions to determine whether the applicant can be 'approved'. When responding to a loan offer an applicant must always allow for their income and credit to be verified to confirm there has not been a migration in credit rating, a recent delinquency or an insufficient debt-to-income ratio post pre-approval. In your case we weren't even able to determine whether you could be approved because you were unwilling to provide the required information pursuant to the pre-approved offer terms and conditions to confirm your identity, check your most recent credit report and verify your income at the time of application. This is standard operating and underwriting procedure for lenders and banks to determine approval. In order for an applicant to be considered for approval, they must first confirm their identify, provide authorization to have their credit report run, verified and qualified and provide proof of income to verify adequate debt-to-income and ability to pay. We are unaware of a lender that will approve an application without confirming these items at minimum. Our process as shared in the pre-approved offer terms and conditions does require that you must speak with a live Debthunch representative and provide the above application information at minimum prior to being approved for the offer. We wish you the best and hope you find a solution to help you pay off your debt. UPDATE - You're welcome. Yes, the terms pre-approved and pre-qualified are usually considered interchangeable and synonymous for many lenders offering debt consolidation loan products. As shared this is the first time in 19 years that we've had a situation where a prospective applicant felt misled by the use of the term pre-approved for a prescreen offer. As displayed in the terms and conditions of the offer the applicant must agree to have their credit report run, verified and qualified and provide proof of income to verify adequate debt-to-income and ability to pay. This would be the case if the term pre-qualified or pre-approved was used.
I don't know how they got so much positive reviews. It is just wasting time by talking to them, they told me that I am preapproved with 0% interest rate, after talking they told me to pay above 12%.

We are sorry that you were unsure about how a debt consolidation worked and after listening to the call recording of you speaking with a debt consolidation expert we learned that you declined our preapproved debt consolidation offer and instead wanted to know what a cash loan could provide with your credit score and income. The debt consolidation expert explained that a cash loan is a completely different product than the debt consolidation offer. With a cash loan you would receive cash to use however you want. With a debt consolidation you are not provided with cash to use however you want, but instead funds are paid directly to your creditors. We provided the best cash loan option available for your situation on the fly because that is what you requested. We did the best we could with offering 12% for the cash loan and explained that it was a completely different product from the preapproved debt consolidation offer you declined. We hope you were able to find a solution that worked for you despite us being given a 1-star review.
