My experience with Curtis Publishing
I am a first time writer and after careful consideration in choosing a publisher, since there are a lot of frauds out there, I was fortunate to work with the Curtis Publishing Company out of Philadelphia. It was certainly a learning experience, even though there were plenty of bumps in the road. We all learn as we go. That said, My project manager was Eric Silva, and he was very helpful throughout the process, always courteous and always smoothed out those wrinkles as they came. I couldn’t have done it without him. Things I would say to any first time author, assume that they think you know more than you know and constantly make sure you advocate for yourself. I am from the very tail end of the boomer generation and sometimes I got the feeling that my editor was fresh out of college and there was generational disconnect. Next time, I will watch out for signs of that early on. Eric is a fine human being and if the opportunity arises for another book, I will choose Curtis again and I will insist on Eric being my project manager. I am now a published author, something that wasn’t even on my mind when I wrote my story. Thank you to Eric and his team. Sincerely, Michal Dennis Author of “A New Beginning: Hope for Mother Nature” available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
