I had always wanted to work with an Executive Coach, but I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure if I would find someone who would be a good fit for me. I found Courtney during a very difficult and dark time in my career - dead end position, no growth opportunities, toxic work environment, no advocates who were supportive of my professional goals, and a new manager who didn’t respect my skills, background and experience. From the very first conversation, Courtney made me feel comfortable. She truly understood where I was and how I felt, and she helped me realize that I was worthy and deserving of more in my career and my life. I didn’t need to stay “stuck” and continue to feel stuck inside the hamster wheel going nowhere, even though I worked hard, loved my job, and my team, and was extremely dedicated to my role within my organization. Courtney gave me all the resources I needed to get my head back in the game, to rebuild my self confidence, and to guide me in a job search that ultimately landed me in a new and better place, where I feel happy and fulfilled again. Most importantly, I feel truly respected by my new manager and I can see the path forward for my career from here. Courtney challenged me and pushed me in ways I truly needed to discover what I wanted, where my passions were, and who and where I needed to be in order to achieve my goals. I dug into that worry and realized that I was afraid to invest in myself. Upon meeting Courtney in our discovery call to make sure we were fit, I felt so held and heard. At that point, the decision was much easier. Courtney has challenged me to take a look at the way that I was treating my business and more importantly myself. I wanted to find a way to grow my business and develop certain skills, but what I realized In working with her is that I already already have the skills But needed to work on chipping away at the beliefs I have that are holding me back. She told me there would be a homework involved and I would have to make a commitment to getting out of my comfort zone. I was pretty much hooked at that point because I knew that she was going to hold me to task but in a compassionate and caring way.
