Hi Janice, thanks for your comment! We appreciate it. It may seem like we are providing too much B12, please consider this. The amount of vitamin B12 in supplements varies widely. Some provide doses of vitamin B12 that are higher than recommended amounts, such as 500 mcg (like us) or 1,000 mcg, but your body absorbs only a small percentage of it. These doses are considered safe because only about 10 mcg of a 500mcg oral supplement is actually absorbed in healthy people. We want you to have what you need and consider the actual amount that your body will use. Also, excess B vitamins (water soluble) are simply passed out of your body daily.
