Colonial Penn Life Insurance CompanyReviews of colonialpenn.com

Canceled same day as signing up for life insurance but still took my money. Followed their instructions to cancel and still no refund. These people are crooks! Should be ashamed of taking advantage of senior citizens.

Johnathon Lawson. 35cents a day - 9.95 a month. To lie by omission is still a lie. One omission - this is for $1000.00 of insurance. The average funeral costs $10000.00. So .35 becomes $3.50 and $9.95 becomes $99.95 per month. They do say, in fine print, "this is a "limited" benefit for 2 years BUT they do not say how much the limit is. After 2 years you have paid $2398.00 and didn't have full benefit until 2 years was up. Eligible at 50 years old. They love that. If you start at 50 and live to 65 you have paid $1,7991.00 for  $10,000.00 of insurance. I think you should save you money. I get sick of their constant commercials. I wonder what Mr. Lawson's salary is. I wonder how many millions they spend on commercials. By cutting commercials drastically they could lower premiums. Now comes the constant commercials for Medicare Supplement insurance. Proudly touting what all they pay for to "help" you out. Having dealt with insurance companies through negotiations for the company I worked for, I learned, the hard way, the most important question to ask is "WHAT THEY DO NOT PAY FOR". All they want to give you, may not be worth all you loose! Now FYI Medicare Supplement Insurance has several "letter" designations. In Illinois, where I live, Plan "G" has to pay for everything Medicare covers, except the deductible and I believe the Doctor deductible. Plan "F" is the same, but covers all deductibles. I would advise checking your state for these plans if your interested and can afford one of them. They are more expensive, but cover much more if you need a lot of expensive care and hospital visits.

Colonial Penn is very bad for business you put money in every month and if you decide to leave they will rip you off if you have over 1000 in there they do not give you your money back they give you back a small portion and keep alot most of the money to pocket it not a trustworthy place

Rip off.Per unit.Thes people are crooks and should be ashamed.Stay away from this crap.

They take your money immediately for this insurance but if you cancel immediately you have a problem getting it back. Fill out a cancellation form plus a written cancellation then you have to wait for them to send the policy so you can return it with the cancellations. SO Ridiculous!!! Such a ripoff!

People are using Colonial Penn life insurance company in America to Scam Australian people in Australia. Online and over the phone. Shows how low people will go to selling money these days.

Requested a quote online, not a phone call, for my specific age . Within 30 seconds received a call from an agent. He was not interested in simply providing a number but wanted to do a hard sell. Asked if he would simply email me a quote and he grudgingly said he would. He did not get back to me and I will not get back to them.....EVER.

I am very disappointed at what my family would receive for the 9.95 plan. Less than $2000 and I could legitimately (since I am only 51) be paying for it the next 30 years. I’m glad I looked up what the benefits would be before I decided to purchase. Will never buy from you
