Clever Poppy makes embroidery kits designed specifically for beginners. Every kit comes paired with step-by-step video tutorials, so you're never left guessing what to do next — it's like having a patient teacher right there beside you. If you've ever wanted to try stitching but felt intimidated by complicated patterns or vague instructions, our kits are built for you. We're a small, family-run business and ship thousands of beginner-friendly kits each month to new crafters across the United States and around the world.Every kit is built around the same idea: stitching should be a joy, not a puzzle. We obsess over the details. Whether you're picking up a needle for the very first time or returning to craft after years away, our kits are made to help you relax, focus, and finish something you're proud of.Beyond the kits, we run Makers Academy, a community where our customers share progress, swap tips, and cheer each other on. It's become one of our favourite parts of what we do.We genuinely care about the experience you have with us — from the moment you order to the final stitch. If something isn't right, our team is here to help.

I am enjoying a new creative hobby, even though I do not consider myself creative. The video tutorials help so much, and I look forward to working on this every night! It has given me something to do beyond doomscrolling, and I love it so much!

I've done 6 kits now, progressing from beginner to advanced. The Clever Poppy community is so supportive and I'm so happy I've found a new hobby I love.

I’m a beginner and excited to learn a new craft with the beginner sets. Really like the pattern and tools that are sent. Issue is with tracing the pattern. It is difficult. Wish it came already printed.

Hi Lynn, thanks so much for sharing your feedback! We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the pattern and materials in your kit. Tracing can definitely take a little getting used to at first, but we use this method so any remaining pen marks can easily be removed for a neat finished piece. Plus, the template can be reused for future projects ✨ If you ever need any tips or help along the way, feel free to send us a message at [email protected] - we’d be very happy to help 💛
My daughter is a client of Clever Poppy and I have become a customer as well. The client service is great and the product are good value. Also the training video is very informative. My other daughter visiting ftom Florida went home with some of the beginner kits. Both my girls have never done needlework prior to working on the beginner kits. Now they are obsessed. I am revisiting my younger years. Thank you everyone at CLEVER POPPY 🧵 🪡
