Katherine Career Coach at Careerist ; THIS IS ONE OF THE EMAIL I SEND TO HER/THEM BEFORE SHE SEND ME BACK THE EMAILS ABOVE, TRYING TO CON MORE MONEY OUT OF ME; To Ekaterina Pletnyova ; Hello, is the Careerist company still open and operating? I've tried to contact them as well and haven't received any reply. I don't know If they're still in business, do you have their contact information. A current phone number or email, the ones I've used I haven't gotten any reply, no response whatsoever. If you still have contact with them, could you please put me in contact with a current instructor. I need to know what's going on with that company; some people online have claimed that they're having similar problems. That it's a potential scam; I've been seeing reviews like that on Trustpilot. Please contact me if you have any information about this matter.

Do not trust them when they say they are going to give you a referral bonus. Additionally, once you get in boot camp you may not be able to contact them if you have issues.

My Experience With Careerist’s Manual QA Program — Extremely Disappointing I spent months completing Careerist’s Manual QA program, put in the work, and even received the apprenticeship earlier than expected. I completed the apprenticeship as well. After all of that, I have to be honest: the program did not deliver the career outcome I was led to expect. I have now submitted 200+ job applications for QA positions, and completing Careerist’s program and apprenticeship did not result in a job. The biggest problem I encountered was the gap between what I was taught and what I encountered in the actual job market. Careerist put significant emphasis on tools and technologies such as Selenium, but many of the positions I encountered expected candidates to know other modern automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright. I repeatedly encountered requirements that I did not feel adequately prepared for by the curriculum. That leaves a serious question: what exactly was I paying for if I still had to teach myself significant portions of the current QA toolset after completing the program? The apprenticeship also did not translate into the employment outcome I expected. Completing an apprenticeship sounds impressive on paper, but if students finish it and are still struggling to meet the technical requirements appearing in actual job postings, the training pipeline needs to be examined. To be clear, I'm not saying that Careerist taught me absolutely nothing. I learned concepts and gained exposure to QA processes and tools. But learning something and being adequately prepared for the modern QA job market are two different things. My biggest criticism is that the program should be much more closely aligned with the technologies employers are actually requesting. If Playwright and other newer automation technologies are appearing regularly in QA job requirements, students should have meaningful hands-on experience with them—not have to discover after graduation that they need to learn them independently. After months of classes, completing the apprenticeship, and submitting 200+ applications, I am left questioning the return on the time and effort I invested. Pros: • Structured curriculum • Exposure to QA concepts and terminology • Hands-on exercises • Apprenticeship opportunity Cons: • Significant gap between training and some real-world job requirements • Limited preparation for tools such as Playwright that I encountered in job postings • Apprenticeship did not result in employment for me • Required substantial additional self-study after completion • The sheer number of applications I submitted without landing a QA position made me question how effectively the program prepared me for the market If you're considering Careerist, I would strongly recommend looking at current QA job postings in your target market first. Compare their requirements against the actual curriculum and make sure you're going to leave the program with the technologies employers are asking for today, not simply the technologies included in the course. For me, the experience ultimately fell far short of what I hoped the investment would provide.

⭐️ **My Experience with Careerist – Please Read Before Enrolling** I am sharing my experience because I believe prospective students deserve to understand what can happen after completing the Careerist program and relying on its employment guarantee. I completed my Careerist program, participated in the required course activities, and received my certificate. I chose the program because I believed it would help me transition into a career in the field and provide meaningful support in obtaining employment. Unfortunately, my experience has not turned out that way. I have made extensive efforts to find employment in the field, both during and after completing the program, but I have not been able to secure a position. I have had to pursue other employment opportunities outside of this career path. Because Careerist advertises an employment guarantee with specific eligibility requirements, I followed the instructions I was given and waited until the end of the required guarantee period before submitting my refund request. I gathered and submitted the documentation requested by Careerist. The biggest issue for me has been the **communication and follow-up**. I have reached out to the representatives handling my situation multiple times over different dates and months, including phone calls, voicemails, and emails. There have been periods where I did not receive a response or a timely update regarding my request. At this point, I am still trying to get a clear answer regarding the status of my refund request and have escalated the matter to Customer Support for assistance. I am not writing this review to discourage anyone from pursuing a career in technology or investing in their education. I am sharing my experience so that anyone considering Careerist understands that **completing the program and receiving a certificate does not necessarily mean you will secure employment**, and if you are relying on the employment guarantee, you should carefully read and document every requirement, deadline, application, communication, and submission. **My advice to prospective students:** Before enrolling, read the guarantee terms very carefully, understand exactly what qualifies you for a refund, keep copies of every document, track every job application, and keep a complete record of every communication with Careerist. I genuinely hoped this program would be the career opportunity I was looking for. Unfortunately, my experience with finding employment and getting timely assistance with my refund request has been disappointing. I am still seeking a resolution and hope Careerist will address my concerns and resolve this matter promptly.

Do not waste your money. This is a complete waste of time. I completed all the required training until Career Coaching. I already scheduled career coaching sessions and I was ghosted, no email no text no reminder . Tried calling and emailing multiple times . No answer. This is terrible and they should be held accountable. I repeat again DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my experience at Careerist and to formally request a full refund of the tuition I paid. I completed the program approximately two years ago, attending every required class and completing all assigned coursework. My cohort began in May 2024, with classes held three days a week through September. While the classroom instruction met expectations, the experience declined significantly once the career preparation phase began. The career support process was unclear, and despite requesting assistance numerous times, I never received a phone call from anyone at Careerist. Every response came only by email, and I was eventually informed that no further support would be provided. I had multiple questions that required clarification, but there was no opportunity to speak with anyone directly. I chose Careerist based on positive online reviews and recommendations from YouTube creators. I also paid my tuition in full upfront because I expected a structured educational experience with accessible student support. Instead, I found communication extremely limited and was repeatedly unable to reach anyone by phone despite my requests. Unfortunately, the education and career services I received have not helped me transition into a Software QA Engineer role or provided the value that was advertised. As a result, I feel that Careerist has not fulfilled the expectations created during the enrollment process. For these reasons, I am requesting a full refund of my tuition. Please let me know the process for submitting a refund request and identify the appropriate person or department responsible for reviewing it. I appreciate your prompt response and look forward to resolving this matter. Sincerely, Lane, F

Very disappointed with Careerist — poor communication and lack of support I enrolled in Careerist because I was serious about changing careers and believed I was investing in a program that would provide meaningful training, guidance, and career support. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The biggest problem has been the lack of communication and follow-through. I had a scheduled phone call with Careerist on August 5th at 1:30 PM, and the call never happened. I reached out afterward because I wanted to understand what happened and get my concerns addressed. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of resolution afterward. I have been trying to get assistance for more than a month and have not received the level of communication or support I believe a paying student should receive. At this point, I have requested a refund because I no longer feel confident continuing with the program. When someone spends a significant amount of money on career training, they should not have to repeatedly chase the company just to get a response or assistance. I will be fair and say that some of the coursework and hands-on exercises were useful, particularly the exposure to AI automation tools. However, useful coursework does not make up for poor communication and inadequate support when a student has legitimate concerns. My biggest advice to anyone considering Careerist is to do your research before spending your money. Ask detailed questions about the career support, communication, refund policies, and exactly what assistance you will receive after enrollment. I enrolled because I wanted help building a new career. Instead, I have spent a significant amount of time trying to get answers and resolve an issue that should have been handled much more professionally. I hope Careerist takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and student support. Paying students deserve better.

The experience I had with company was fine until the career coach portion. My career coach missed interviews I set up with her on her calendar. I reach out to emails like and no one has gotten back to me. Ive reached out to my career coach directly and she also hasn't responded and all future appointments for mock interviews on her calendar are not available. This issue is holding up my ability to finish the program and get my final certification and not one seems to care. This issue is ruining the entire experience with this problem due to lack of communication and sense of urgency. I hope someone will reach out to me because this is not okay.
