The Canvas Factory isn't a scam, but it's incompetent at shipping. I ordered a custom-sized canvas print. It was packed badly, and shipped from China to the US without any cushioning or reinforcement for the corners, and not even an extra layer of cardboard to protect the printed surface of the canvas, in a thin cardboard box that was barely larger than the canvas. The box arrived with one large depression and several small dents in the sides. The canvas itself wasn't ripped, but it was badly stretched out in the spots directly behind the damaged areas of the box, and looked terrible. I sent the company a number of photos of the damage, with a written description. They replied that they were forwarding the photos and description to their factory, and they would take appropriate action. I foolishly thought that was a gesture of good faith, and ordered a second canvas; this one was a standard size. When the second canvas arrived, the box was again thoroughly inadequate to protect the canvas, and was no longer even properly sealed on one side, and was bent in half diagonally. I took photos of the box, as it was, when it arrived. I also documented the damage to the canvas itself. The frame of the canvas was also broken on two diagonally opposite corners. The frame was constructed with cheap fasteners that broke when the unreinforced box was mishandled. I never got any further reply from the Canvas factory about the first problem, and I sincerely doubt that the company will make any good faith effort to rectify the situation. I blame myself for being foolish enough to order from them a second time. Their standard practice for packing and shipping internationally is incompetent and uncaring, and renders their products unusable. I do not recommend using the Canvas Factory.
