Boot.devReviews of boot.dev

Where do I start? The content is almost always of an excellent caliber. The "gamified" learning experience is really done. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get on the platform. Most importantly, you actually learn practical knowledge and skills that will help your career. I regret not joining earlier!

I recently started with Boot.dev and have completely enjoyed my experience with the application and instruction. Very helpful staff.

I've tried several "coding bootcamps" and other sites in the past, would get hung up on something and would end up quitting in frustration from a lack of help outside of whatever explanation was given on the page. Boot.dev, however, has Boots, the Wizard Bear, an AI chatbot who is almost disturbingly good at explaining things and assisting you when you get stuck. Boots will not give you the answer, but will give you a hint vague enough to require you to think, but specific enough that you will be able to figure it out on your own. The courses are also set up to build on themselves. What you use in previous courses will generally continue being used as you learn. You are encouraged to begin with Python, which is a genius move because of how in demand it is and how you can use Python knowledge to comfortably slide in to other Object Oriented languages. I paid for a year and have learned probably over a year of college programming classes in 7 months. I will be resubbing for another year when it ends. There is also an excellent community of VERY helpful people on Discord to talk to who can explain things.

Great way to learn with hands on real world experience, as students often find it confusing starting with theory, or little bit of code or tools there are abundance of it. Gfg, w3 all these but never a proper way to go deep into topic with coding, as a programmer. So that was my experience, I was a beginner through out my education (might be skill issue) but now m beyond that confidently. 💪💪

Boot.dev courses are fun to do. The experience is gamified and many courses only require a browser. I started boot.dev to refresh my knowledge of writing code. I hadn’t written much code since college and really did enjoy it. I am now on my second time through boot.dev courses. They are practical and give learners plenty of code examples. Highly recommend boot.dev.

Boot.dev is excellent! If you ever wanted to learn to code or already have coding experience at any level, boot.dev is for you. They have amazing courses, community, and tools to help you learn faster. With all of that, it is important to note that this is not an easy platform, especially for beginners, but it is worth the effort.

Genuinely great website to learn, you got YouTube vids and a website with instructions with a terminal in it, the perfect package essentially.

As a gamer, I find that the lessons feel much more enjoyable. I'm able to work at my own pace and really grasp what’s happening. I want to give a shout-out to the training grounds; even though I struggle a bit there, I appreciate the opportunity to practice what I've learned repeatedly.
