I am sorry for contacting BHO. The service they performed was horrible. I will never use them again, nor will I ever recommend them. They lied to me that they were a local company. Their automated phone greeting claim they have been in business for 60-years. Really??!!

Some guy in a white beat up truck showed up to inspect our chimney. He had his phone and took some pictures. I could not understand him. Said he was from Israel. He called someone and began speaking to him in h a different language. He gave me the so I could tell him what I aalready knew. And said it would cost 4 grand to repair. When I told them no. They came down to grand. I said no again. Wh do en my fiance arrived the price went from $8 to $700. How do so many people in this world lie and take advance, use, and feel good about themselves and without any conscious about stealing from others day after day. It is not ok. And nothing is done to stop it. Technology makes it so easy to scam and never get caught.

The technician came to clean my dryer ducts for $79 quoted price. Immediately he started saying it would cost more and quoted $450 and then $250. He agreed to $150. I should have known something was wrong with this company. He brought in a small shop vac and vacuumed the dryer filter and then changed to blowing air into the filter section. Yes a lot of lint came out but it also pushed lint into the dryer and heater coils, causing it to catch fire. Then he said it was an old dryer and I should buy a new one for $500 at Home Depot. He never cleaned out the duct between the dryer and the outside. What an idiot and crook. I paid him the $150 in cash just to get him out of my house. Don’t use these guys; they don’t know what they are doing.

Total scam! Thank goodness I was smart enough to figure this out! I had no contract so when the tech called to say he was on his way, I denied him. He said he bought the materials and I needed to pay. Nope, no contract. Called the office and it was apparent they were caught! Phew!

BHO Chimney came to inspect my chimney for $69 and then recommended a cleaning to increase the price to $529. PROBLEM: the cleaning was not fully performed. I asked the technician to leave the damper closed as he found it. He agreed. Two days later we smelled soot and I discovered the damper was not only NOT closed, it was disconnected and out of place by six inches. I crawled into the fireplace to fix it and found that the damper, the damper casing, lintel, throat, and smoke chamber were still covered in soot. Not cleaned! Further, the ash pit was clogged full with ashes.  BIGGER PROBLEM: No one will call back to discuss the problem. I have been repeatedly promised for days that a manager would give me a call right back, within a half-hour, within a day, and by day-end. No callback has occurred. Now I get hung up on. Should you use BHO?

Thus company lies to you!!! Do not hire them!!! They sent out a contractor ( not an employee) who I had to send away without doing part of the job because he didn’t bring the a blower to blow out the lint. Because he was angry he went out to my vents in the exterior of the house and BROKE OFF THE VENT FLAPS!!!!! I now must pay an AC company to find out to install a whole new vent duct with the flaps attached. Do not hire this company!!!! And they lied to me over the phone telling me their guy could repair the squeak- the contractor clearly explained to me when he got here that they cannot do repairs. They LIED!!!!

BHO Chimney Sweep is one of those companies that doesn't truly exist as all of their employees are private contractors. Their advertising tactics are sneaky. They said they charged $79 for a dryer vent cleaning. I have a difficult to access dryer vent so this sounded good. The man who showed up claimed there were blockages 15 inches into the pipe and wanted $299 for the cleaning. After telling him no he said the $79 charge only covers 10 minutes of cleaning. Contradictory the company representative stated the $79 was just the inspection fee. Nowhere do they state that. The man said didn't do anything, demanded payment and left. I ended up purchasing a scope and a long drill operated cleaning brush and did it all myself with no issues. Do not use this company.
