Three strikes
The Betatesting platform is easy to use. The instructions to testers are clear. The time allowances for completing tests are reasonable and the rewards for the time taken are fair So why do I rate it only stars? Because each of the three test instructions required me to share my own PERSONAL INFORMATION with a third party. This included full name, date of birth, phone number, email address, and photo ID. I was required to either video the sign on and subsequently upload the video file (accessible by Betatesting's client) or share my screen with a client employee. Naturally I refused due to concerns about identity theft. When I raised the concern via email to Betatesting, I got a confusing response "You are not expected to capture any sensitive information on video ever". Betatesting contravened their own advice three times!
