Ordered a custom sword. Full tang, for weight considerations, and which I paid extra for. It was not full tang, and instead had a piece of all thread welded to the blade. I told them, and they sent me another sword. This time, instead of making it full tang, they USED EPOXY on the threads and handle so it "could not" be removed. Obviously, I cut the stupid plastic handle off, and am now working to free the epoxy. Not only is this company not only lying to us all, they are covering up their lies with epoxy.

I reached out to the company beforehand asking about a custom order, they assured me it would look like the photos on their website, and they were happy to accommodate my request. HOWEVER, they fell short in a dramatic way. The product I got, which took four months to receive, wasn't even close to what was advertised. Since July of 2025, I have been emailing with them talking about a replacement and now they are not responding to my emails. This is a terrible company, with terrible customer service. Do not waste your money here. They suck and don't deliver what they say they will.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering a custom sword from Battling Blades\. I placed an order for a custom replica sword because their website advertised a production time of **3–5 weeks**\. To be safe, I ordered **nine weeks** before I needed it\. About two weeks after placing my order, I reached out to confirm everything was still on schedule\. That’s when I was told the timeline had suddenly changed to **8\+ weeks**\. Since the updated timeline meant the sword would no longer arrive when I needed it, I immediately requested to cancel the order and receive a refund\. Instead, Battling Blades charged me a **30% “restocking” fee**\. What makes this especially frustrating is that the company claimed they had already begun making the custom sword—enough to justify keeping 30% of my money—but at the same time claimed they couldn’t complete it anywhere close to the original 3–5 week timeframe they advertised\. That simply doesn’t make sense to me\. As a military member, I planned well in advance specifically to avoid last\-minute issues\. Despite ordering more than two months ahead of my deadline and proactively confirming the schedule, I was penalized for a delay that was entirely on the company’s side\. My experience was disappointing from start to finish: inaccurate lead times, poor communication, and a significant financial penalty when they failed to meet the timeline they advertised\. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Battling Blades and would encourage prospective customers to carefully research reviews and understand the cancellation policy before placing an order\.

Company sent faulty falcata that looks nothing like picture. Asked for a replacement and they somehow sent a worse version it. Have been trying to get a refund for three months now and they just keep making excuses as to why they haven’t done it. Highly untrustworthy and bad products. DO NOT BUY

Ordered with a delivery date of Wednesday the 17th by Friday I still had no tracking information so I emailed them and was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks to make them and I told them I wanted a refund or a call to discuss the other options and then I was blocked from communication and sent a fake usps tracking number and email that said they were shipped already but usps says it isnt a real tracking number They scammed me out of Christmas gifts I'd highly recommend never dealing with this place and I'm sure all of their positive reviews are fake

Awful experience. Nice website. Ordered a custom sword for my son two months before Christmas. I checked in every two weeks at first and was told it was in production. December hit and asked if this was being shipped soon. Told it was. One week before Christmas I asked what was going on. Was told due to supply chain issues, it was unknown WHEN the sword would be made. How can it be in production when it’s not? They offered an instock sword instead and would be here by Christmas. Guess what, Christmas is two days and it won’t be here. Ruining my son’s Christmas. If only they were honest and had some shred of decency to tell me initially it wouldn’t be here I. Time I could have found another alternative. Will never do business here. Never again.

Ordered a 55" sword, received a broken, 41" sword. Charged for shipping which was supposed to be free, was told they would refund it, never did. Can't reach by phone.
