I have two dogs, one is a small retriever and the other is a PUG. I purchased one large bowl they share for water, a medium for the retriever and a small for the Pug. They are the perfect size for the portions they eat. Plus the small bowl is wide so the pug has no problem getting to his food. I also recommend the bases to keep the bowls in place when the dogs are eating. Additionally, the bowls are solidly made - you can feel it when you pick them up, especially when comparing them to some cheaper bowls made in China. They remind me of a good set of mixing bowls. Basis Pet was very easy to order from and I had my order within a couple of days. I highly recommend them.

The bowls and stands from Basis Pets are a bit more costly than those you can get from the large pet retailers, but are well worth the price in terms of quality, functionality and appearance. Even better, my order has shipped quickly (and was packed very carefully) every time! My pups also love the elk horn slices - one of their favorite chews! I love buying an American-made, quality product from a trusted source.

Great flat shape for cat dishes, their whiskers never touch the dish, which can put some cats off using their food dishes. 5 stars!

All I wanted were some nice, simple bowls for my cats. No breakable ceramic, no unsanitary plastics, no questionable metals...how hard could that be? These are the best bowls you'll ever find, hands down. I just recently got a mini dachshund puppy and couldn't find anything I liked or trusted in the local stores. The small bowls are the perfect size for his food, and I think I'll be ordering a set of the medium bowls next just so there is more room for water.
