We had a great two week trip to the Azores visiting several islands by boat or plane. One Island, Corvo, we would have skipped as it was very run-down with little to do, eat, etc. The other islands were unique and beautiful. Most of our guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant, but one of them was way too talkative and did not read our cues well. Our accommodations were very good.

We visited five islands in the Azores and travelled by air between islands. The trip was well designed- the first day on each island was arrival and free time, the second day was touring the island, the third day was free to relax or explore the island further- a nice balance. The tour guides were local and all were very knowledgeable , personable and good drivers. We were unable to book superior hotels due to our late booking but we visited them and I would recommend booking them. Our hotels were fine and well located except for the hotel in Flores which was weak. This islands are beautiful, each one different and charming. A very enjoyable and relaxing trip.

We were met at the airport and also at each hotel we stayed at by courteous and knowledgeable driver/tour guides...and yes, they spoke fluent English. We had an individualized tour of each island without the hassle of being with a big tour group. We will definitely be back to experience more of the islands soon... I have to chance the Rating from bad to good. Because of a misunderstanding and a lot of e-mails there were problems with the refund. This Problems was dissolved. So I can represent this Review.
