Avaaz is a global web movement to bring people-powered politics to decision-making everywhere. Avaaz—meaning "voice" in several European, Middle Eastern and Asian languages—launched in 2007 with a simple democratic mission: organize citizens of all nations to close the gap between the world we have and the world most people everywhere want. The Avaaz community campaigns in 17 languages, served by a core team on 6 continents and thousands of volunteers. We take action -- signing petitions, funding media campaigns and direct actions, emailing, calling and lobbying governments, and organizing "offline" protests and events -- to ensure that the views and values of the world's people inform the decisions that affect us all.Any questions or concerns please message us on our contact us form: https://avaazhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I like that it is a global movement and seems to fight for what is right everywhere without bias.

Avaaz is a powerful voice for those who stand up to fight for justice and to protect the environment. If you think Justice and the Environment are worth fighting to protect, join Avaaz and add your voice.

I've been following and supporting Avaaz for several years now and am always impressed with the range of causes, from large to small that they support and take meaningful action on, both with non-violent actions and financial support where it makes sense. Keep up the amazing work!!

I have supported AVAAZ for many years now, because they are independent and trustworthy. They give people and communities a voice (indigenous people in south America/ Gaza and others) and fight for human rights and for the protection of our planet - the rainforests, the oceans, wildlife.
