Misleading Charges – Beware! I recently used Ask a Doctor and was told I would be charged $2 to obtain a visa number. However, without clear disclosure, they charged me $68 for just a few questions. At no point was I informed that I would be billed this amount. This is deceptive and unethical, and I feel completely misled. Beware before using this service, and confirm all charges upfront! I am currently disputing this charge, and I do not recommend this service to anyone looking for fair and transparent medical advice.

The pediatrician I contacted responded quickly with definitive next steps regarding our medical situation. It ended up being the appropriate course of action and our local emergency services affirmed our decision to trust the advice we received here.

It was unfortunate that I had contacted a doctor from the US. Her information was heeded and informative. I did contact a doctor here in Australia who was able to give me the script that was needed.
