The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

I don’t know what did you do, and why to rate. If you where specific on what did you do, I’ll rate better. I bought insurance with you and that’s it! How can you help us?

As a Mobile Massage tech i love AMTA 8565171852 Put your Wellness in my hands

For available services I’d say AMTA provides as much if not more than other organizations. In relation to support for needs of the industry this is a mixed bag. AMTA has positioned themselves with private companies and supported legal and other processes that I believe undermine the industry as a whole, not a pigeonholed aspect of massage- a good example is the bill for a new bodyworker board in Massachusetts. The language chosen to support the bill and present it were poorly done. This was my first hand experience while at a chapter meeting where we spoke to the organizations representative on the matter. There’s more if you’d like to discuss it. Thank you

Love the options of CE credits, always easy to call and speak directly to a person when I have a question and overall very satisfied with my membership
