American Sailing Vacations is more than a trip—it’s a gateway to living your sailing dream. Whether you’ve just earned your certification or you’ve been sailing for decades, our vacations are designed to get you on the water, building skills, and connecting with a community that shares your passion. We offer three signature experiences to fit your sailing lifestyle:Luxury Sailing Cruises – Sit back, relax, and soak in the best sailing destinations in the world while traveling alongside fellow sailors. Even if you’re not trimming sails, you’re part of the crew in spirit—sharing sunsets, stories, and the camaraderie that only comes from being on the water together. What we offer (One Example): Step aboard a crewed yacht like Chronos or Cataleya. No need to hoist a sail—just enjoy champagne sunsets off new anchorages in Croatia, Italy or the Caribbean. You’ll share the experience with a small group of fellow sailors who love the water as much as you do. Flotillas – Sail your own boat in the comfort and safety of a group. Perfect for building confidence and honing your skills, flotillas let you explore incredible destinations while surrounded by a supportive fleet of like-minded sailors. What we offer (One Example): Sail in the company of other boats while exploring bucket-list destinations. Imagine joining the Lenny Shabes Sailing Festival in the British Virgin Islands—a week of island-hopping, raft-up parties, and building confidence at the helm, all while surrounded by a fleet of like-minded sailors.Learn-to-Sail Vacations – Combine adventure with education. These trips fast-track your sailing skills, so you return home with both unforgettable memories and stronger seamanship. What we offer (One Example): Combine your getaway with hands-on education. Picture learning the ropes in Croatia: by day, you’re mastering docking, sail trim, and navigation with ASA instructors; by evening, you’re savoring fresh seafood in a quiet harbor you sailed into yourself. I love that ASA calls these trips a gateway as I think this is a proper term. I’m not sure they have been a gateway to my dreams, but they have been a gateway and more to adventures, rich food and experiences and deep & lasting friendships. aSA vacations is my secret hiding place, I’m hesitant to share them with too many folks.
