Alta Functional HealthReviews of altaforlife.com

I was feeling out of control and overwhelmed with where I was at in my life before I met Kat and Andrew. I had done an informational phone call with Kat but I wasn’t ready to do what I needed to to change yet. After doing a New Years challenge with them, I finally pulled the trigger. I went in to the program with a much more open mind, and Kat changed my life. She taught me how to independently manage my nutrition, not only for a fat loss phase but also during maintenance calories/macros. She’s helped me navigate two miscarriages and acute anemia and many other things life has thrown my way this last year. She’s provided many thoughtful insights and advice not only for nutrition and holistic medicine but also for life in general. Their whole body approach with nutrition, strength training, and functional lab work has changed my life. Before Alta, even though I was active and worked out, I was constantly bloated, tired, and gaining weight. Now I’m the strongest I’ve ever felt in my life, in control of my nutrition, and mentally stronger. I will forever be grateful to Alta for the habits they have instilled in me to last a lifetime.

When I started working with Kat I was really at a loss as to why I couldn’t lose 10 pounds. I’ve always been a pretty active and naturally lean person, but all of my usual tricks of eating less calories and intermittent fasting didn’t work and I felt weight adding up slowly. I had a closet full of clothes I wanted to wear but didn’t feel comfortable in, I was always bloated, and my energy was crashing in the afternoon. I was already working with a good friend who is a health coach and had an appointment scheduled with a functional nutritionist (I thought in person would be better). The functional nutritionist was very expensive and rushed me through my appointment with a whirlwind of information. I left the appointment with a lot of questions and she was hard to reach after that. Kat, on the other hand, was coaching me every day and knew my daily habits so could make much better suggestions on my health. Kat helped walk me through habits that I thought were going to help me lose weight but were leaving my gut and hormones a mess! Once I entered the weight loss phase, I quickly began to drop the weight. It was such a relief because I truly thought I had tried everything. I was very stubborn in a lot of my ways and really needed to reframe my thinking. I appreciate all the knowledge and support from Kat. She has truly changed my life and I feel equipped to continue this lifestyle well after the program is complete!

Long overdue review here— I’ve been working with Alta for over a year now. The six month blueprint that is implemented was so good I came back for more! I love and thrive off of accountability, and Kat is always checking in encouraging simple food tweaks that work the extra mile. I have always been very health and wellness focused, but it wasn’t until working with Alta that I began tracking my food. I didn’t come here for weight loss. I have always been naturally on the thin side. I came to optimize my gut health. Prior to Alta, I worked with another functional health practitioner who covered everything except the nutrition …and that is exactly what I was needing! I used to experience painful daily bloating. I always blamed certain foods — but with Kat’s knowledge and insight, we discovered what truly was going on with my gut and what it was communicating to me (meal timing and overall quantity of food were two big culprits for me)! Before tracking my food and a little bit (ok, a lot) of education from Kat, I was certain I was eating enough food ….boy was I wrong! Out the gate Kat increased my calories by 500 and my body started to thrive! It almost brings me to tears to say that I haven’t experienced regular bloating (if any, really) in about a year now! If you think Alta is only for weight loss — think again! Working with Kat you can dig in to all the nuances of your health and learn more than you’d ever expect! Worth every penny!

I cannot say enough great things about Alta, Kat, Andrew and Alexa! After gaining 30 pounds over the last decade and dealing with low energy, a frozen shoulder and chronic asthma/sinus issues, I knew I needed to make my health a priority. I had tried several times to make changes on my own to my diet and workouts, but was on a continual hamster wheel of starting and getting frustrated that I wasn’t getting the results I was hoping for. I originally joined Alta’s two week challenges. I immediately was impressed with how genuine and relatable Kat and Andrew are. In the two week challenges, I learned so many buildable habits that I have now made part of my every day life. After my second two week challenge, I decided to sign up for six month coaching with Kat. Best decision I ever made. I have lost 30 pounds. I have more energy than I’ve had in years. My sinuses are cleared up, my shoulder is significantly improved and for the first time in 20 years, I’m off all asthma medication. Working with the Alta team has been nothing short of life changing. Best of all, I now have the confidence and knowledge to know what I need to do for my health from here on out! If you’re hesitating – just do it! You will be so glad you did!

I really enjoyed my experience with Alta! When I started most of my issues was regarding bad digestion, poor sleep and bloating. In the program a blood work was included and to my surprise my cortisol was sky high! Then Kat and Alexa worked with me to balance my meals (i was basically eating only carbs) so I would eat more proteins and good fat. In 3 months I barely had any bloating after meals (and if I did I knew why), was sleeping great and did not rely on antiacid to go through the day. Things that I had not expected was that my hair looked more voluminous and shiny, my body got toned and i started loosing the dready cortisol belly that I had. I’m sure everything I learned i. This program will help me for life!

Fantastic program! I started with a high A1C and wanted to reverse that. Working with Kat has helped me better understand nutrition and how my body responds to what I eat. After the program, I have lowered my A1C, lost weight and have better educated my family on nutrition. Thank you Alta team!

I have now finished a six-month journey with Alta Coaching, specifically working with Kat, and I can confidently say that my experience has been nothing short of positive, sustainable, and truly noteworthy. Having struggled for over six years with the constant cycle of losing and regaining the same 10 pounds, the fact that I've managed to shed 20 pounds in just these past six months while working with Alta Coaching is, in itself, a testament to the effectiveness of their program. What truly sets Alta Coaching apart, and Kat in particular, is her ability to make this entire process feel remarkably effortless. She expertly educates me on the specific needs of my body, skillfully using facts to address and alleviate any doubts that arise, and consistently keeps the focus firmly on achieving long-term, sustainable goals. Furthermore, her daily accountability support has been invaluable, providing the necessary encouragement and structure to stay on track and achieve remarkable results. I've decided to extend with Alta Coaching for another year because I know the value the program provides for long term success.

The program has a great team with a wealth of knowledge and helps provide a terrific system to help you stay accountable. It's a great combination!
