So I have taken my skis to get tuned at the Alpine Shop for some time but I will not be going back. The past three times I have had my skis serviced at the Alpine Shop they have not been done when I have gone to pick them up - despite getting notices that the work was completed. In addition, in each case I picked up the gear several days past the promised by date. While it's tempting to take out my frustrations on the tech, I believe that the problem lies more with the organizational process (or more accurately, the lack thereof). While they do use a computerized system, it seems like they cannot quite sync the work that needs to be done with the date that the customer would like her/his equipment by. The result is that when I have arrived to pick up my skis, there seems to be general confusion about what work has been done and when said work was supposed to be completed. Sorry, but I am done with this business and I would not recommend it - despite the fact I would like to support a long-time local business.
