I read a lot of people saying they are a scam and that the listing fee (mine was $100) was something that threw them off but if I was a company running this website, I need to pay for the website, the ads, the backend somehow. I'm complaining because once I put my dog up to find him a better home, a day later they removed the listing without any explanation (and they did refund me). My wife and I work and can't provide our new puppy the attention and care he requires and doesn't eat as much which worries me, especially if it ties back to his lack of attention. I've reached out to them on 3 occassions and no response from them and its just sad to see that they don't care for the people using their platform.

Reached out to adopt a pet the day he was posted. Never received a response. Checked back a week later and he was adopted. Very disappointing.

The organization steals from its clients and continues to charge monthly feel after accounts have been deleted. SHame Shame Shame. DO better.

They are a scam. They make you pay $20 to list your pet and then send you applications. However, the people’s information on the applications if you call or email never answer back. Wouldn’t you think someone who’s looking for your pet would contact you back after submitting their application? That’s why this website is a scam.

I have placed numerous applications with you are "matched" with and have heard nothing. Not even if the private owner has received my application.Suddenly the profile of the dog was taken off-what does that mean? You stated that you send emails if the owner did not choose you.I have not received such an email on any of my applications. I waited for over a month a month and still no response on 3 applications. A terrible experience!!! Do not use this site.

I see lots of negative reviews about adoptapet and that is unfortunate. I do not have anything negative. I put my dog up for adoption on adoptapet, and she was taken within 3 weeks. I wanted to give her a better home in order to avoid taking her to a shelter, and she got a good home now.

Enough time, seen how BAD spooky Adopt-a-Pet is. They hide last name of applicants seeking a pet. So BAD ppl know this, and use fake names on emails and cell with zero infos. Why ask so many details of pet owners if hiding from applicants and why hide last names of those seeking a pet? Oh, a data-mining site owned by Pet Smart (called a "Partner" to avoid liability). Its dangerous and a pending law suit!

There is a cat on your website named vader that my son was wanting and we met up with the owner of vader and it went great but 2 hours later the owners of vader said they where going to keep him after we met him
