I bought the 2024 take off board and the handlebox joint failed after a couple of months, water leaked on a nearly new premium Blue Carbon board. A manufacturing defect. The warranty process was a joke. Weeks of delays and a resolution that involves a repair that leaves permanent visible marks on a nearly new premium board that will never look the same. For a top-tier premium board at this price point you'd expect Starboard to stand behind their product. They don't. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND! Save your money and look at other brands that actually care about their customers after the sale!! There are cheaper and better options!!

I have and had a lot of Starboard SUP-boards and sofar happy. But when you have a guarantee issue customercare not existing. They sell the boarde and have no post sell care. My 2 new Spice boards 2024 have such a thin carbon cape and no sandwich construction, that we have footprints on them. we weight 73 and 53 kilos and this usually only happens with custom boards. well, I claimed my seller and starboard directly and they don’t reply nor anything - they don’t care once sold. very disappointing. in the future we will change brand.

In December 2022 I purchase a Starboard carbon SUP paddle from Brettsport. Unfortunately the paddle broke after 8 months. I contacted Brettsport, who responded immediately and with whom I have been in good dialogue until the matter was resolved. We have many Starboard products in the family because we have been super satisfied with the quality. Brettsport and Starboard has now sent me a new paddle to replace the one that broke. That tells me that Starboard stands behind their products, and that's why Starboard is still the family's favorite brand
