Laura from Sunset is incredible and has pushed very hard to get things done for me even when I’m not readily available.

Laura Tobar was especially responsive to emails and proactive about deadlines, as well as always being cheerful and great to work with. The process was complex, but they never failed to respond diligently.

I used Sunset to wind down my first company after our acquisition, an asset sale, and honestly they took what should have been a miserable, bureaucratic slog and made it feel calm and completely manageable. They walked me through every hard part— closing out our state accounts and the Texas withdrawal, getting dissolution notices to all stock holders, the tax documentation, and more. The team is responsive and human in a way you don't expect from something this administrative; the client success managers actually know your account, and when I recently got handed off to a new point of contact (my beloved CSM moved to a new department, so clearly it's a great place to work!) it was completely seamless. The product itself is clean and well organized too, a clear dashboard, documents filed exactly where you'd look for them, and timely email updates that link you straight to whatever's next. As a founder, having someone shoulder all the closing-down details so you can actually move on is a huge relief. I'd recommend Sunset to any founder who needs to wind a company down properly. I currently recommend it as much as I can!

Sunset and Zoe were there for me in a hard, messy moment. They dramatically improved what was a complex, grinding winddown process while I was simultaneously dealing with plenty of other problems. I am very grateful for their help and feel they helped me tidy up shop with pride / no loose ends / holding my head high with respect to how all other parties were cared for / ending with integrity.

Sunset has been incredible as I shut down my startup. They have handled everything incredibly well as challenges popped up with the shutdown, and with the numerous other things that have cropped up. I would recommend them to anyone not wanting the headache of all the loose ends associated with closing a business!

Shutting down a company is far more complicated than most founders realize, especially if your business has registrations, accounts, and tax obligations across multiple states. Sunset made an overwhelming process manageable from start to finish. We worked closely with Laura and even had direct access to the CEO during onboarding. The team was responsive, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our legal and operational questions. Their legal review gave us confidence that we weren't overlooking important obligations or exposing ourselves to unnecessary risk. One of the biggest benefits of using Sunset is the trust it creates with investors and partners. They're a well-known, independent third party trusted by many VCs, which provides confidence that the wind-down is being handled professionally and transparently. If you're closing a venture-backed company, that matters. They also coordinated everything across multiple states, guided us through tax obligations, and stayed on top of all the administrative details. The process doesn't end the day your company officially closes. Months later, you'll still receive unexpected letters from government agencies requesting information or payments. Every time something came up, Sunset helped us understand what it meant and what needed to be done. I can't say enough about how valuable their support has been. They saved us an incredible amount of time, reduced our stress, and gave us confidence that nothing important was slipping through the cracks. Thanks to Laura and the entire Sunset team, I've been sleeping much better knowing everything is being handled properly. Five stars without hesitation.

Sunset was incredible! This was a tough time to navigate as a founder, so having them by our side was all I could've asked.

Sunset were a fantastic support team as I went through an acquisition and closing down some key assets for the business. Really appreciate them being there throughout
