SelfDecode has really helped me learn more about my health. I had been wanting to get my genes tested, but was worried about privacy issues with companies like 23andMe. Then I found SelfDecode! I got my genes tested with them and now I know my data is safe and I can learn what I need to about my genes to fix my health issues.

So I was coming into the genetic space somewhat skeptical. I know the genetics is a new field, but what I loved were all the recommendations. They were broken down by diet, lifestyle and supplements. They were prioritized so that I can see what would help me first. I was having mood issues for a while and my reports and the personalized blog flagged that I may have elevated risk for mood problems. This make sense also because my family has mood-related issues. When I started trying the recommendations, I noticed that my mood was getting better. I've still only tried the first 3 recommendations. and I'm gonna work down the list to see what makes sense for me, but so far I am actually surprised that the recommendations are working for me.
