RV Products Shop LLC (rvproductsshop.com) has 7 customer reviews on The Fair Hearing, with an average rating of 2.9 out of 5.
Regrettably, after a number of years one of the rooftop A/C units on our motor home decided to give out. I jumped on the internet to research a replacement and happened upon a company called RVProductsShop.com. I emailed the company and was swiftly responded to by a gentleman by the name of Derek Pinkston. It turns out my old Coleman-Mach A/C unit was no longer made, but Derek informed me that there was an exact replacement that only required a few parts swapped over, but the fit and appearance of the unit would be the same. Installed, one would not be able to tell the difference.
Price was fair and better than some, so I went ahead and ordered the unit from Derek. It arrived three or four days later in perfect condition. The only obstacle was getting it back onto the roof, but once that was accomplished, the rest was exactly as Derek had described and he was there to answer any questions I had. Unit is now installed and works just like new!!
From my experience, I would definitely recommend Derek and RVProductsShop.com if you are looking for a new A/C unit

Resolved damaged product issue.
Initial shipment was very prompt, but product that arrived was damaged beyond installation. Notified the company and they sent another motor and assembly in perfect condition and received in a few days. I was very satisfied with the company's responsiveness and willingness to resolve the first issue. Thanks.

I was extremely happy with the fast…
I was extremely happy with the fast delivery. Yes I paid the extra to make it get here faster but man I ordered after 3:00 pm and had it in the morning before 10:00 am I don’t even know how rv products did that but I was in a pinch and they delivered. Customer service was amazing and they get back to you within 10 minutes. Great job rv products.

The motor that arrived was the correct on, and that was the ONLY good thing in the transaction.
The motor that arrived was the correct motor, so let's work backwards.
Let's start with "They do not take phone calls." Period.
They claim they offer better customer service. Lawdy, I'd hate to see how much worse it can get.
Their website showed two products, same look, mount, SKU.
With $80.00 difference.
I emailed, Specifically asking which was the correct part, correct price, in addition to;
- Is it in stock
- when would it ship once ordered
- how would it ship/ETA to my zipcode
- what is the return policy?
In answer I got:
"Yes, it's in stock. Just add to your cart and hit "order."
So, I sent nearly the same email, and got back a snarky "Our returns policy is on our website. It will ship two days after your order is received."
So I emailed again with the rest of my questions (again). This time the response was even more snarky about me "not receiving their emails." In short, it's apparently MY fault they're not answering specific questions.
They do not provide refunds for returns; it's "credit on account" only. So if you bought the wrong part, or if it was defective and you found it elsewhere meanwhile; you're stuck with them holding hundreds of your dollars.
They did finally admit the website error and changed it, but I was thinking they're probably not the best people, so I screenshotted it all.
I strongly recommend finding other sources, as there is no:
- Returns for refund
- Phone number for questions
- Efficient/Effective people answering their emails.
In addition, when it's 111 in Las Vegas, we're kinda interested in FAST answers. Not End of Day answers when it's too late to order the product, costing at least an additional two days in wait time.

If you look at Douglas Spotted Eagle's review history, you will notice a trend. He seems to be unpleasable.
Every one of his questions and concerns were addressed by us (me in this case).
His questions "1468C3389 | Coleman-Mach Evaporator Fan Motor for Mach 8 AC/HP Do you have this in stock? Your website indicates you do. Please give instructions for order, return policy, and time to ship. Thank you"
was directly and promptly replied within 10 minutes with the following reply:
"We do. Just add it to your cart, create an account and continue with the payment during the checkout process!"
Unfortunately it appears I did INITIALLY miss his question about the return policy. That was unintentional, and I am human (not AI) afterall.
His next email to us pointed out an inconsistency where two product listings for the same item were on the site with two different prices. As the customer stated in his review here, this was promptly taken care of. I responded to this email 4 minutes after he sent it with the following reply:
"They are both the same, but one listing is an older listing. I will remove the incorrect one. The current one can be found here:
https://REDACTED
On average these have been arriving between 2-4 business days after the order is placed.
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
Thanks,
Derek"
His next email he seems to start getting a little upset and possibly offended that we do not have a phone contact option (we do this specifically for reasons like this so both us and our customers can have a clear and accurate record of communications. This was his next reply:
"I get why you all don't take phone calls, but if you're not going to fully respond...?
I'd have ordered 2 hours ago if you'd answer the price question which also includes a screenshot.
Further, I asked about return if you send me the wrong part. That's happened a few times in the past decade or two. I don't want to be stuck with an unusable part.
So: 1. Which of the two listed is the correct one, since there are two at different prices, same part number.
2. Return policy in the event it isn't the right part? Especially given there are TWO units at different prices, but same part number?
Thank you!"
As you can see, I already responded and answered his question regarding the two different parts. As I initially missed his questions about the return policy on his first email, I can see why he would readdress that. He sent this email at 6:35 PM central time (after the business hours listed on our contact page)
After business hours (8PM Central time), after returning home, I took the time to answer the missed question regarding the return policy, where I linked him directly to the return policy on the site.
To recap, I answered (very promptly) all of his questions, but admittedly I missed one that I later addressed after business hours.
I have record of all communications to/from this customer from our ticketing system if it is needed by any additional parties. I apologize I initially missed one of your questions about the return policy and I'm sorry that this had upset you so much! I wish you all the best and I hope that the streak of how you seem to treat small businesses (based on seeing your review history) ends up being a little more on the understanding human side of things!

Poor Customer Support
I purchased the wrong part for my Furrion a/c unit from this company. It took a couple of weeks before my technician could install it and that’s when we realized our mistake. I take responsibility for ordering the wrong part but the customer service from them (specially Derek) from support was bad from the outset. I couldn’t call them because they make it so difficult.
Where companies distinguish themselves is when their customers experience difficulties and how they handle it. Here’s what Derek wrote me when I informed him I was going to dispute the charges for not responding to me after several email requests.
“Since you have opened a dispute with your credit card company I will not be able to continue communication with you until all legal issues are resolved. Luckily we have a paper trail of when you did (and didn't for that matter) contact us. This information, plus the return terms that were required to be agreed upon during checkout will likely result in a loss with your charge back claim and a hit to your account from your bank (this isn't our first rodeo).”
This is the response from support! There are so many good companies serving our community but this isn’t one of them. Pass on this shop and find a reputable shop.

Customer ordered a rooftop AC on 2/13/26. On 2/16 I was informed by the freight company that "customer has requested to hold onto this order until 2/23. However, there is a storage fee of $122 per day. This will be a total of $976. Do you approve these fees or would you like the order returned".
My response to the freight company was "Do I have a choice that doesn't cost? If not, then yes, I accept the lesser charge. ".
Understandably the customer was very upset that they were not refunded shipping costs and were charged the return fees that are outlined in our sites terms and must be agreed upon when completing checkout.
There was no scam involved. As the retailer, we took the order, we promptly shipped the order, there were no notes left on the order to delay the shipment or anything, there was no original contact from the customer requesting more information about how long deliveries take, etc. Due to being a smaller company, we're unfortunately not able to eat the costs when such choices are made by the customer. The following email was the last one sent to the customer and it included a screenshot from a customer that emailed the night before praising the fact that we were so quick to ship:
"The majority of our customers are like the ones in the attached screenshot from an email received last night. For every customer with a perspective like yours, there are at least 50 customers with the exact opposite perspective.
Everyone I know personally would not order something if they're out of town in the window of a delivery and will not be able to take receipt. I'm sorry that these didn't play a factor for your circumstance but as most would agree it's not our responsibility to eat the costs associated with negligence on the receiving/ordering side of things. Most would agree that we fulfilled our responsibilities as a retailer and have no control over certain factors such as customer assumptions without seeking clarity.
My sincerest apologies for how the experience happened for your order."
Company is a scam don't order from them
I ordered an item from company website and photo looked exactly like what I was replacing. When I got it was totally different and when I contacted company they said no returns and told me how they won every dispute with credit card companies so don't bother filing a dispute. Was nothing on website that said no returns that I saw. Filed dispute with CC company and got refund.

The customer's old model of thermostat has not been manufactured for many years. We like to assist and inform customers who are looking to replace their old thermostat that is no longer manufactured. This is why the product description of the item in question states in multiple places :
"Model 8530A3451 is no longer produced.
Your order will include the latest OEM replacement (Part 9420A381).
Function, wiring and compatibility remain the same, but the housing and display style are different."
(go see for yourself https://www.rvproductsshop.com/8530A3451)
In addition to that, the majority of the product photos include photos of the latest version of thermostat.
Unfortunately we cannot force customers to read product descriptions or look at the product photos but we still want to continue to educate customers about products that are no longer manufactured and offer them the latest functional replacement.
