Misleading
Company, like most, want to continue to provide opportunities to send you promotions - nothing wrong with that, and you can always opt not to enroll. However, when you are promised a discount for doing so, and then you find out that "it doesn't apply to certain products", that is misleading, and exactly what this company did. For me, it undermines trust and reliability in future service, so I will purchase products from another company.
