When I asked how he knew what needed to be fixed, he said he would need to perform additional diagnostics to determine the issue and wanted to charge me another $150 for that service. My understanding was that the purpose of the appointment I booked was to diagnose the problem in the first place. The experience felt confusing and not straightforward. I left without a clear explanation of what was wrong with my system and felt pressured into approving costly repairs before the root cause had even been identified. Transparency and communication are important when dealing with expensive HVAC repairs, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.
