MelolinguaReviews of melolingua.com

I’ve been using MeloLingua for spanish for around 3 weeks now. Before this I was mostly using Duolingo, but I wanted something with more reading and listening. What I like most is the stories. I normally listen to the same one 2 or 3 times and then try saying some of the sentences. Still not perfect 😅 It’s simple but for me this works better.

From the beginning I really enjoyed the dual narration and text and found the ability to improve your pronunciation very valuable. Also I ended up having back and forth emails with the app developer about things that I found frustrating and he welcomed my suggestions and implemented them.

I am an older learner of Italian. Reading and speaking a new language is not an easy task. With too much information out there, finding the right software/app can be a bewildering journey. After searching for a language learning application for months, I found MeloLingua. Rather than forcing grammar rules and memorization of vocabulary (the traditional, high-stress way of learning), MeloLingua provides bite-sized short stories, just above your level of knowledge, to help you acquire a new language. Through listening to the story, speaking sentences from the story, and then answering questions about it, MeloLingua provides a simple way to gradually learn your target language. Ismael (the Owner of MeloLingua) constantly improves and adapts the application to incorporate the comments of its users. This iterative process helps the application and its users mutually benefit from each other's involvement. MeloLingua has my highest recommendation!

Very easy to use and I have learnt a lot!

What I like most is that when I click on a word, I don’t just get the translation. I also get an example and some grammar context, which helps me understand why and how the word is used. Another feature I find super useful is being able to build my own story based on my daily routine. It makes the vocabulary much more relevant to my life and helps me remember new words in a much more natural way. I’m learning Spanish, and I find this really useful for making language learning more practical, personal, and engaging.

The last update made this app really cool. Short stories makes vocabulary much easier to remember, especially with the speaking practice. I also had a small issue and the support replied in less than 10 minutes and was really helpful. I appreciated a lot

I discovered Melolingua recently and honestly I really like the idea. I tried a lot of language apps before but here it feels a bit different because you learn with short stories and real situations, not just random words all the time. I like that you can click on words when you dont understand something and also listen and practice speaking. It makes it easier to remember for me. There is still few things that can be improved because I think the app is quite new, but overall really enjoying it so far. Curious to see how it evolves 🙂
