Business Owner's Warning
Business Owner's Warning: Systematic Claims Process Failure As a business owner with over a decade of experience managing commercial insurance relationships, I feel compelled to share our experience with Markel/Lloyd's claims handling through Crawford & Company. Our well-documented $126,757 claim has faced: Retroactive coverage denied despite explicit policy inclusion Multiple adjusters assigned without proper file transfers Submitted documents repeatedly "lost" requiring re-submission Zero response to time-sensitive communications Escalation attempts met with circular referrals After 4+ months of professional engagement attempts through every available channel (broker, supervisors, executive office), we're left with mounting costs and zero resolution. This systematic failure has impacted our operations, staff, and customers. Recommendations for other business owners: Document EVERYTHING Record all communication attempts Set clear response timelines Escalate early and often Maintain professional persistence Current status: Seeking resolution through regulatory channels while warning fellow business owners. Will update if situation improves.
