I worked with them on my Sales Tax related work. They are professionals in how they handled everything. Would like to give a special shoutout to Tom, who has been more than helpful.

Rajat, we’re so grateful for your kind words here on Trustpilot! Passing the shoutout to Tom right away. It’s our pleasure supporting your sales tax compliance needs.
I worked with this company for sales tax filing services, and unfortunately my experience fell short of expectations. After pulling our records, I found that for six months straight we had $0 in sales tax filings—but I was still being charged full service fees the entire time. What frustrated me most was that this wasn’t flagged or even mentioned during our yearly check-in. If something like that doesn’t come up in an annual review, then when would it? I understand things can slip through the cracks, but I had expected more proactive communication, especially when something clearly unusual is happening. I trusted their team to alert me to anything out of the ordinary—not just keep billing quietly in the background. The lack of oversight left me questioning the value I was getting and wondering what else may have been missed. I emailed three times asking for clarification and never received a reply. That silence only deepened my concerns. I hope they take this kind of feedback seriously to improve communication and rebuild client trust moving forward.

We’d welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and gain a clearer understanding of your concerns. According to our records, we responded to each of your three requests within a few hours, though it appears we did not receive any follow-up responses. We also attempted to call you, but we have been unable to reach you. As mentioned in our earlier communications, having $0 sales tax due in a state is not necessarily a concern. Based on the transaction data you provided, there were no taxable sales to report for the referenced periods. Each month, we sent a Liability Summary for your review and confirmation prior to filing, but we did not receive a reply. That said, even when no tax is due, the state still requires a $0 return to be filed according to your assigned filing frequency. To remove a filing obligation, the state generally requires formal deregistration. However, because your business is based in North Carolina and sells taxable products, our understanding is that deregistration may not be a viable option. Lastly, please note that our filing fee reflects the work involved in preparing and submitting each return, regardless of the amount due. While we strive to offer excellent value, we’re not able to waive fees for $0 filings. We hope to hear from you soon!

Our company has used HOST several times, and I can strongly recommend them! I got the help from Tom Spang, and he is just "next level" within service and helpfulness, going out of his way to help out! Could only wish for more companies at this level of service and skills! Thanks HOST - Benjamin Beck, CEO, Equine Lounge USA

We are a small but growing internet sales company with sales in 46 states. We could not track, file and pay the sales tax in the 46 states by ourselves. HOST has been wonderful, they notify us when we need to take action in a state when nexus is established and they take it from there. Their filings are timely and accurate. Their customer support is great, if we have questions we get a response, usually within 24 hours. Well worth the money.

We've been engaged with Hands Off Sales Tax to streamline the process of registering state tax certificates and filing for states that our automated systems couldn't handle (even before they had their name change). The experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I am more than pleased to share my positive feedback. From the outset, the team at Hands Off Sales Tax lived up to their name, providing a genuinely hands-off experience. Their expertise and efficiency were evident as they navigated the complexities of state tax regulations, allowing us to focus on our core business activities without the burden of tax-related intricacies (which are myriad). What sets Hands Off Sales Tax apart is their knowledge and understanding of the intricate web of state tax requirements. They demonstrated a high level of proficiency, ensuring that all our state tax certificates were not only registered accurately but also promptly. This attention to detail and commitment to compliance provided us with peace of mind, knowing that our tax obligations were in capable hands. Reliability is a cornerstone of their service. The team consistently delivered on time, meeting deadlines without compromising on the quality of their work. This reliability is crucial in the realm of tax compliance, and Hands Off Sales Tax has proven to be a dependable partner. Moreover, the accountability exhibited by Hands Off Sales Tax further solidifies their reputation. Throughout the process, they kept us informed, providing regular updates on the status of our tax registrations and filings. This transparency instilled confidence and fostered a collaborative relationship. In summary, Hands Off Sales Tax is a trusted partner that I would recommend to any business seeking seamless and efficient sales tax solutions. Their hands-off approach, coupled with expertise, reliability, and accountability, make them a standout choice in the realm of state tax compliance. Our go-to tax saviors. Being a small company of less than 14 employees, that has nexus in about 25 states there is no way we could keep up and stay current with all the state's requirements. And when we get some "strange"notice, we just send it over to HOST and its off our plate.

Sales tax is complicated and not something that we wanted to deal with internally. We were referred to HOST by our accounting partner and they've been a huge help, advising us where to register, getting us tax permits and handling our sales tax returns.
