The gps isn’t accurate enough and inside the house the collar goes off when it leaves beacon range.

Love the collars. They are accurate and give me piece of mind when my dogs are out. I would have rated 5 stars if customer service would have sent me a replacement locking screw for the collar. I’m using a bread tie to hold it together. They wouldn't send one because I didn’t buy the collars directly. That shouldn’t matter. It’s still their product and should stand behind it. I’d just go buy a screw but I can’t find one that small. Also I don’t remember the date exactly below.

Inconsistent. The collar seems to be accurate about 95% of the time. The other 5% my dog is being corrected when he is within the fence and doing nothing wrong. It will show him outside the boundary when in reality, he is well within the boundary. This is very stressful for him so I finally turned off fence feedback. What was once a very well trained dog is now uncertain and timid with his boundaries. In all fairness to Halo, I still need to follow-up with them to see if there are measures to correct this. This said, the very same thing occurred with the first collar that is now occurring with the replacement collar so admittedly, my confidence is pretty low. Multiple sessions with no solutions to date. I will call them though as I hate just throwing $650 out the window.

We love the fact we can find our dog any time. We have 10 acres and so it is a big help. The program needs to be able to do a fence within a fence for those of us with acreage. We like to keep our dog close in to house when we are inside but then open up her area when we go on a hike without having to edit the fence. Also, the battery life needs to be lots longer.

GPS frequently drifts 200+ yards requiring me to power down and reset the collar. I have other gps devices that do not do this at the same location, which is my home. But the Halo customer service is very helpful and promptly answers my call. Update 12/17/22 Halo was very prompt in sending out a new collar. This one is a lot better. Works well.

With gps functionality the border changes by quite a bit. Faulty signals from time to time. This causes confusion for our dog.
