The technology of the halo collar is very good. The battery charges in about 2 hours and it lasts about 16 hrs. So, there is no worry during the day time about loosing power. The training is well designed, and I was able to train my dogs very quickly. I particularly appreciated the advise of 'don't bring the dogs outside until they know what to do' . Also, the usage of the bicons is fantastic, and my dogs 'got' the idea very quickly. For Improvement: - Personally I didn't find usage for the statistics. During the first 2 weeks of my dogs trying the collar outside the house, both were getting 'warning, boundary and emergency' feedback sometimes when they were well inside the fence (center of the fence) and I was with them at that time so I was able to be 100% sure the collar was 'malfunctioning' at that point. These malfunctioning is no longer occurring. - I use 2 adjunct fences daily, one around the house and another one back of the house in the woods. The collar doesn't immediately 'recognize' the change of fence when I go out the house fence, in the woods, it takes a few min to recognize that we are intentionally there. - To my point of view, the instructions on how to do the fence are not very clear and I had to learned it by trial and error, and it was a little frustrating. - There are more than 10 to 15 feet of warning zone in the fences, also I learned this by trial and error. I live in the forest with too many trees around and maybe this is the reason. I will be trying the collar in a city this winter and I will know more then. - After I learned how to do the fences and to adjust them, all went smoothly and I started to enjoy the outdoors with my dogs running around.

Very reliable. My aussiedoodle needs room to run. I live on a lakefront. I cannot have fences. I tried the “in the ground” fence. It was inhumane and had a limited range. With the Halo he can roam over a much larger area, chasing squirrels, etc. He is a happy dog🐾🦴🐾

Replaced collar when one of the prongs broke off this one seems to not hold a charge as well. A few things that would be nice is if the collar was smaller/thinner and have a stand alone remote

Had used a less expensive location collar (that is no longer marketed or supported). Despite being more expensive, it is well worth the price. The accuracy, features, ,and dependability difference is like day and night.

The freedom this collar offers to the pet owners and our pet is valuable to us. We allow our 2 year old to roam our land and she gets lots of exercise.
