Terminated service after broken guarantees and billing issues
I am writing this review to share my experience with Green Lawn Fertilizing’s service, billing practices, and customer support. I signed up for a multi-application lawn program. During my service period, a lawn treatment was applied that failed to address major weed infestation on my property. Despite the company’s advertised service guarantee offering follow-up visits to address issues, no representative ever showed up to perform the requested follow-up service call. Additionally, a promotional referral credit promised during signup was never honored due to persistent technical issues on their portal. As a result of these unfulfilled service commitments and poor communication, I formally canceled my service in writing. I subsequently issued a second written notice re-confirming account termination and instructing the company to stop contacting me and cease property access. Despite two written cancellation notices, the company continued issuing automated billing statements for unearned balances. I ultimately had to open a merchant dispute through my credit card provider, which was investigated and resolved in my favor. Rather than updating their internal system to reflect a zero balance following the card issuer's decision, the balance was transferred to a third-party collection agency. I strongly advise prospective customers to keep detailed written records of all communications, service guarantees, and account cancellations when working with this provider.
