The overall experience was pretty good! For the (very high) price I definitely got the service and the information, but the grading policies could have been more upfront and laid out better, especially the fact that the instructor would not have a part in the grading (which makes sense given how busy I’m sure he is, but I would feel a little less cheated had I known that upfront). That’s about it! P.S. the grading took so long that I at this point have no idea what date to put in the “date of experience” section.

I appreciated the emphasis on practical exercises. The assignments and projects allowed me to apply what I was learning, which helped reinforce key concepts.

The staff was very positive and skilled at the profession. The issue is that the mechanics of the teaching style are lecture rather than training. A person must be consistent for months to gain Mastery of a skill and troubleshoot an issue when one is stuck. The User Experience makes it so that the user would be unsure if he is ready or able to do the work. Then the feedback for the work would be not frequent as the person waits for the feedback. Once the user gets the feedback, it would be bad feedback from his peer or final feedback from the grader. It encourages learned helplessness and the perfectionist mindset. A mindset that makes the user too scared to make mistakes from a fear of judgment or a mindset that the system will hurt the person if he is different. We both know that the current resources would make it very hard to give personal time to users who want help and harder for people who don't. In video games, we would design a test of all the user would know about the subject and set the difficulty of each exercise for each user in correct intervals with rewards and positive encouragement. We can't do that. So, I recommend that we challenge them to do all the assignments before starting the class to show where the user stands to set their expectations. Show them a training schedule that they can do themselves and give positive reinforcement (rewards) when they complete a task. Tasks should change from person to person based on the user's skill. Grading should not as important as the consistent habits they need after the class. I recommend that alumni can comeback as a reward for their work to encourage growth and community in this system.

Great class although it was a little large. The teacher did a great job getting to everyone's questions the best they could and extended their availability to accommodate. Only 4/5 stars because they won't let you download the slides from the course. Comes off as a bit money-obsessed and paranoid since the value of the class really comes from interacting with the teacher and other students- the powerpoints just have helpful links and resources. Overall the course was intensive and very valuable! Totally worth it besides the powerpoint thing.

I have completed two courses with Elvtr and have thought that the instructors have been excellent each time. The course work has been detailed, the class itself has been collaborative and attentive to individual student needs. I also worked closely with the Elvtr student care team and they were very supportive when it came to my schedule and questions. The only negative to the classes have been the challenge and tight timing for some of the assignments, which require a lot of work outside of class. Other than that, Elvtr has been wonderful and I will definitely consider them for more classes in the future!

Just finished the Healthcare Analytics course and it was a great learning experience. Looking forward to applying this knowledge and advancing my career.

My instructor was really incredible - great 1st hand experience, SO positive with great energy, well organized, and engaging The content was well organized so I could follow along each week. I couldn't always make the night classes due to work/work travel but I could easily catch up and watch the classes I missed. Although, attending the live classes was the most valuable. It was nice to be in a course with other women at a similar career level but across different industries and different levels of management experience (managing others and being managed). My course was a wonderful extension to my company's L&D resources -- we don't have much training once you go into leadership and this was a great add-on to my career development planning Only a few cons: I would've liked a checklist for all the assignments and projects by the week Wasn't a big fan of the Google Classroom setup user experience - wasn't easy to use from my phone if I needed to check on assignments or class announcements Didn't prefer the use of Discord for connecting with other class attendees -- my Discord account got locked and I had a hard time using it. A simple chat feature in Slack or another forum would've been nice.
