Data Engineer AcademyReviews of dataengineeracademy.com

Stephan has been an outstanding coach — clear, supportive, and deeply knowledgeable. He is understanding and has given me the confidence to approach real-world data engineering problems with structure and clarity. The Data Engineering Academy does a fantastic job blending practical, hands-on learning with expert mentorship. Highly recommend for anyone serious about breaking into or growing within data engineering.

I truly appreciate my success coach Payal. She is truly knowledgeable, very responsive and extremely encouraging. With life’s challenges I would not have made it this far without her. The other coaches Nikola, Nehal and so many others are a team to ensure your questions are met and you are successful. I appreciate the team and the content.

Coming from a zero tech background, the on-boarding process was very easy. Waqar was great! I have Afnan as my CSM and couldn't be happier about the experience! He's patient, as he's aware of my background (or lack of) and makes me aware of his expectations. I LOVE that it's work at your own pace and if I ever get stuck, there's an absolute ton of experience to help me through whatever it is that I'm stuck on. I'm excited to continue my growth with DEA and, if necessary, align with them in the future again

They are patient with first timers and very informative of all the courses! Very explanatory!

Extremely knowledgeable staff. A wealth of teaching materials to get me up to speed on the different subjects.

They are like any great company and care deeply about their KPIs. Socially speaking we aren't in touch with the dynamics that make the quality of our products actually great and our lives great. They should give as an option the ability to pay for the whole bootcamp with a percentage of your future salary because they really are missing out on almost ready applicants that are about to switch to something else but started data analyics. I would like for them to have more revenue and cheaper rates for people who are having trouble creating the right experiences, projects and certifications. There are too many people marketing solutions to either a product we should buy or a career we shouldn't get into. The problem with data engineering for many is solved by this company if you are 3/5 - 4/5ths the ideal candidate already. Om and Chris are the best and hopefully my insight so far aligns with the beliefs I need to have to grow into this role.

I just wanted to share my experience with Data Engineer Academy. I signed up for this program with zero tech skills. I worked in research, but wanted to switch careers to focus more on data analytics. I was uncertain about which program to choose and found this one interesting on social media. I thought it was a bit pricey, but what stuck out to me the most as compared to most other programs was the fact that they would assist with job placement. From this program, I was able to learn SQL from scratch, along with database modeling and management in platforms such as Snowflake. I also learned some visualization tools I could use with this such as Tableau. Though I struggled a bit with the Python courses, one thing that was very helpful was the great support from their team. Instead of having one dedicated contact, there were multiple people I could reach out to with multiple skill sets if I had a questions or became stuck in my learning. In addition, they delivered on the most important aspects for me, which was helping me tailor my resume, preparing me for interviews via mocks and job description reviews, as well as applying on my behalf and getting me actual interviews which ultimately led to me being hired for a new role (with higher pay) within a few months. I am happy to recommend them to anyone wanting to learn SQL, database design/management, and data analytics skills.

I lost my job in August 2024. Since then I tried myself but failed to get back to the job with the salary I had been making. Thanks God, I came across with one of the video of Chris and joined the progam on February 10th, 2025. Now I feel like I am on a solid plan to get back to the job with high demand data skills. I had very smooth on boarding with Tyler. Now I am working with Om Gaikhe. Indeed, very happy with Om as he keeps me motivated at this down time of my career! Thank you OM and entire Data Academy Team for having my back at this stressful time.
