Do Not Use this Middle men. They will deactivate your account for no reason(well there reason is I have no activity since 2014- Non of their business thats the whole point of bitcoin.we keep it until the right moment). My lawyer along with TV presenter in the UK is working to shutdown this scammers .. AVOID bitpay.com aT all cost If you don't want to lose money..

They used to be good service for Bitcoin payments when merchants wanted accept bitcoin payments but not take Bitcoin to their posession. Now they are lagging behind technology and instead of upgrading, now they are putting costs on customers. They take some verry strange network fee (absurdly high), and not support SegWit. They take payments to adresses like 1K2F2SXb**** (legacy address format). They also reuse adresses (LOL).

Bitpay is terrible for Vendors, I am using their services and they keep on putting the payment treshold higher and higher. Today they did changes and 324$CA disappeared from my account without any ways to withdraw it since the limit is now 2500$ and i cant add a bank account.. IT si getting from bad to worst!

BitPay works to develop our bank relationships so we can reduce minimums and fees. However, we are not able to adjust these minimums at this time or on a case by case basis. You do have the option of settlement in 100% cryptocurrency. You can then use one of the cryptocurrency exchanges to convert back into CA for minimal fees (generally less than 1%). This generally solves any issues with settlement minimums that our merchants may encounter.
TERRIBLE experience. I have been in Bitcoin for a long time. Wne t to buy a Google Play card for my son like I have a hundreds times in the past and bitpay was the processor. After an hour I just gave up. TERRIBLE wallet. Terrible addressing. They think they are smarter than everyone and come up with their own thing? Won't ever buy anything from a store that uses that junk!!!!!

I first used their wallet to buy an Amazon gift card for around $250. Flawless. Gave me a code right away. I had some extra Bitcoin and wanted to expand my mining rig so I bought one for $1000. Did NOT work the same BUT they took my Bitcoin. I didn't get a gift card code and I have been waiting for days for a simple email back and nothing. This has all the looks of an ABSOLUTE SCAM! Their 800 number will not be put thru to a live person and just tells people to go to their website. Horrible company. They ripped me off. I hope they get sued.

Like many other reviewers here, I had a bad experience with the BitPay customer service. What they are doing is probably not identity theft but looks close enough. Certainly they are mining your identity data. My Tier 2 application dragged on for more than a month. The documentation requests from the compliance team went in circles. They have a habit of asking for one piece of documentation a week, and when you submit all of that, they suddenly discover that your website needs more information about the business. And this is given that they had approved the website in writing a few weeks before.
