BATS UNLIMITEDReviews of batsunlimited.com

So far decent experience, a bit slow in processing the purchase order but it was a weekend deal. Initial tracking data via Stamps.com did not hunt other than label created, so after 3 biz days I called the firm's 800 number. Steve answered, I shared my tracking issue, he researched and indicated the order went directly to Suncoast as 25oz Autism Melee3 was not in stock [no upsell attempt]. He provided the update/when requested immediately emailed the new tracking data. GTG, the man was on top of it. Oh, when the conversation ended we exchanged respectful parting pleasantries. Steve actually called me sir not b'itch like someone else whined. Maybe try to treat men with respect/we will most often reciprocate its all a two way street, just sayin' Cheers

Great pricing, quick delivery, exactly what I was looking for. Purchased an ASA Pure Sidewinder. Best to call when the item says to call for lowest price. My pricing was lowest from Bats Unlimited, and I check all bat sales sources. Best to always check here when looking for baseball/softball equipment. Steve, thanks for quick feedback.

Originally purchased a Easton Ghost on September 07, 2020. Prior to shipment, was notified that Bats Unlimited only had unused DEMO bats to sell. Bat was only used for games with no BP, shattered after less than 50 hits. Suspect I was sold a defective bat, repackaged as DEMO. Very disappointed in product and "story" I was sold.

The Owner, Steve Ponzio, called me a b***h and told me that girls shouldn't swing above a 26 oz. bat.......Now that I have your attention, here's what happened..... After LOTS of research and trying out probably 50-60 bats, of every weight both end-loaded and balanced. I happened upon a Miken Triad, 27 oz. end loaded Maxload (the blue and black bat, not the gold one,) and fell in love with it. It felt amazing and the ball just sailed off the bat. I wasn't able to spend the money needed for it right then so I just lusted after it for a while. By the time I was able to buy one, it was discontinued and couldn't be found. Heart break. A friend of mine said she found the bat on Batsunlimited.com! Hooray! I immediately put in an order. That night I got an e-mail stating that I must call back TOMORROW AFTER 9AM (it was all in caps lock, I swear.) Once I did, I was told that it wasn't in stock (why did I go through this process to find out it's not in stock?,) so I inquired about what bat was the closest. I stated that I really loved 27 oz. end-loaded and immediately he, STEVE PONZIO, said girls can't swing above a 26oz and guys should only swing 27oz and above. I was a bit taken aback but was calm and said that it worked for me and that's where I felt comfortable. I wasn't rude, just stating my experience. He proceeded to tell me about all the studies and all the girls who play college ball that he works with that prove girls shouldn't swing anything above 26 oz. Again, I told him I like this bat in a 27 oz, and he said that girls who think they swing better with a 27 oz. don't know what they are talking about and it is in their heads......I'm just going to state for the record, that I don't care about studies. I care about feel and this is what I like and what I wanted. It is my money being spent, after all. Isn't the customer always right?!? Then we discussed Miken's replacement for the Triad (namely, the Freak) but I haven't had a chance to try it so I didn't want to spend money without more research. He was a bit frustrated that I was asking more questions and told me to call the Miken Rep and ask them. He gave a specific name and number, which I called. The Miken rep was really helpful and then I asked about girls swinging 27 oz, and he said to swing what is comfortable and what works for me. He then said he would not do business with someone who said something as ignorant as what Steve was saying. I agreed. Thing is, they had my credit card info and Steve told me that if he didn't hear from me within a few days, they would shred my info. I didn't trust that and wanted an e-mail confirming my cancellation. So I called them and spoke to a woman there. Let me say this, She was GREAT!! I asked her who the manager was and she said Steve was the owner. I laughed and said "oh crap, I am calling to cancel my order and complain about him." She laughed and heard me out. I told her what the issue was, that I was really put off by his attitude and that I wanted to cancel my order. She was very apologetic and was trying to take care of me when Steve overheard the conversation and got back on the phone. He proceeded to argue with me and state all these studies. I stated I didn't care and I just liked that weight in the end-load. Then he said, "fine, you don't want to listen to someone who knows...." and hung up. Sigh.....I still hadn't told her I wanted the e-mail for cancellation. So I called her back and told her I just needed the e-mail please. Steve got back on and argued some more. Then when she was able to get on the phone to continue my request, STEVE said, "just hang up on that b***h." Which she said that she most definitely would not. He proceeded to rant where I could hear him. He also told me that the Miken rep, which HE SUGGESTED, was a knucklehead and that he didn't know what he was talking about. Oh, the irony!! She processed my cancellation right then and there and was very professional about it and very kind. I never once resorted to yelling, name calling or any kind of belligerence. I just didn't agree with what he was saying and told him I liked that weight and that's what I wanted. I have done my research on my preference. I have never had this kind of reaction from anybody selling a product. Can you imagine going into a store, stating what you were looking for and then get yelled at because that person didn't agree with your preference?!?!?!? I am beyond shocked and this review is going on MANY, MANY more sites.

Ordered a bat, and it was out of stock. They had to order it from the factory, and two weeks after I placed the order I had him check on the order only to find the factory never got his e-mail ordering my bat. They said they sent it and told me "sorry" and they'll refund my money. They wasted two weeks of my time and 3 games of my softball season passed. They did not monitor or check on my order AT ALL even though i asked them too and even sent them like 4 emails asking for a staus update. He just assumed and sent back a response to me that my bat would ship in a few days. Too bad his email never reached the factory or he just never sent it - I don't care which one it is. Bottom line, I got the short end of the stick and all I got was i'm sorry. Terrible customer service, and every time you call you get thrown on hold by this lady who sounds angry and have to sit on hold for at least 10 minutes. Terrible experience, and I wouldn't buy from here again if it was the cheapest place on the web AND they paid me to. Forget this place, they are awful.
