AmericanpowerandgasReviews of americanpowerandgas.com

American power and gas took it upon themselves to add their services to my peco electric bill. Every time these people call me I either hang up on them or tell them I dont want their services and then hang up on them. I got my electric bill and it was $1600.00. Now this is for a business. My normal bill is around $500. How is this legal. People like this should be sued for hundreds of thousands just so they think twice to try to scam anyone else. And for me to call and cancel...I had to make 3 or 4 20-30min phone calls and provide all my info. You had my to put your name on my bill so use the same info to take it off. The one guy hung up on me because I kept reminding him that this is illegal and he kept telling me to keep my phone call professional. I guess we all cant be professional when dealing with scammers. Stay away from this company. My review is -5!

This company scams people. They offer rated 3x what you would normally pay on your bill, and know theyre doing this. I worked for the company and we were told this, and to ignore it.

I was with this company and then decided to switch since their new rate after the introductory rate didn't compete with other energy suppliers. I called to see if I could get a lower rate and they basically just said no. So I switched and then APG calls me constantly after that. I get a lady who says the variable rate is so great that they always give a low price and they want to keep you so if I don't like the price to call and they will work with me. She also told me I would know the rate each month before hand. I got the paperwork and it basically says you will not know the rate and they can charge you whatever they feel like charging you without notice. The lady lied and when I called in and told them that it was basically they same response before I switched last time, oh well can't help you. They bait you in and then don't care once you are with them. I won't make the mistake of going with them again. Waste of time and bad business practices.

This company has a scam rewards program that does nothing. It's more of a contest program where you can enter their contests using their rewards.

Signed up for 3 months at a much reduced rate from peco. Constantly call and harass you, had to block the number. Also send you emails saying there are things wrong with your account when there aren't. Seems they try to fake you into calling to try upselling you. Won't be continuing after the promo period. A relative has had the same experience.
